About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

You will also need a mask, I used mask 85 by Simone at

I used the windows font
Century Gothic.

Please be sure to check out my “About my tutorials” page if this is the first tutorial of mine you have followed, thank you.

I used a drop shadow of vertical and horizontal 5, opacity 65, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 700 by 600 pixels and fill with white.

Copy Shabbies (4), make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.  Resize 95%.

Paste Frames (2) as a new layer, resize 60% and move up.

Copy Solids (4), select the interior of the frame with your magic wand, expand the selection by 20, make a new layer below it and copy the paper into the selection, deselect.  Apply the drop shadow to the frame and merge it down onto the paper.

Paste your tube as a new layer, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  I resized my tube 40%.

Paste Elements (2) as a new layer, resize 65%, drag below the tube and place in position.

Paste Elements (1) as a new layer, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Elements (27) as a new layer, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Elements (37) as a new layer, flip, resize 80%, duplicate, mirror the duplicate, position on either side and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste Elements (44) as a new later, resize 75% and place in position.

Paste Elements (20) as a new layer, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Elements (36) as a new layer, position on the left of the tube, duplicate and move the duplicate over to the right, apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste Elements (10) as a new layer, resize 20%, mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Elements (23) as a new layer, resize 35% and duplicate, drag the duplicate above the tube, paste both flowers into position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste Elements (28) as a new layer making sure it’s on the top, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Elements (26) as a new layer, resize 30% and rotate 70 degrees to the right, drag down below the rose on the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Elements (18) as a new layer, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Elements (46) as a new layer, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste one of the WordBits as a new layer, drag down below the tube, place in position resizing as needed and apply a drop shadow.  I resized mine 45%.

Paste Elements (43) as a new layer, resize 60%, drag below the WordBits, place in position erasing the excess at the top and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Elements (12) as a new layer, resize 20% and duplicate, mirror the duplicate, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste Elements (8) as a new layer, resize 70% and place in position.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments.  When you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text, then export as a png on a transparent background.
