About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the awesome art of
Jeff Haynie.
You need a license to use Jeff’s art, available at

The kit is called “Sweet Latte” by
If you love coffee, you will love this kit!
You can purchase it at

You will also need a mask, I used mask 95 by Simone at

I used the font

Please check out my “About my tutorials” page if this is the first tutorial of mine you have followed, thank you.

I used a drop shadow of vertical and horizontal 5, opacity 75, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 700 by 600 pixels and fill with white.

Copy Paper8-Gi_SweetLatte, make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.  Resize 90%.

Paste Sunshine-GI_SweetLatte as a new layer, resize 60% and place in position.

Paste Window-GI_SweetLatte as a new layer, resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Parchment-GI_SweetLatte as a new layer, resize 30% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Bow2-GI_SweetLatte as a new layer, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste your tube as a new layer, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  I resized my tube 60%.

Paste DaisyCluster-GI_SweetLatte as a new layer and resize 50%.  Drag this element down below the tube and place it in position on the window, duplicate, drag the duplicate below the original copy and move it so a little shows on the right of the tube.  Apply the drop shadow to both copies.

Paste Label-GI0_SweetLatte as a new layer making sure it’s just below the tube, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Spoons-GI_SweetLatte as a new layer, resize 60% and rotate 20 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste CuteCreameryTop-GI_SweetLatte as a new layer, resize 30% and rotate 20 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Button-GI_SweetLatte as a new layer, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Hearts-GI_SweetLatte as a new layer, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow

Paste CoffeeBeans-GI_SweetLatte as a new layer and bring to the top, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of layers and make any necessary adjustments.

Paste WordArt2-GI_SweetLatte as a new layer (you won’t see it as its larger than the canvas) and resize it 40%.  Duplicate it, merge the duplicate down onto the original layer and place in position between the tube and the coffee beans. Select the word art, float it and defloat it, expand the selection by 2, make a new layer below it and fill with the colour #ffffff, deselect.  Lower the opacity of this layer to around 75 and merge the word art down onto it.   I erased the word art around the cat’s paw to bring the paw above it.

Paste Blings-GI_SweetLatte as a new layer, resize 60% and place in position.  These need to be behind the tube but I placed them on top of the tube and erased the parts that were over the actual cat so they were between the cat and the steam.

When you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text, then export on a transparent background as a png.
