About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the gorgeous tube “Latex Love” by
Barbara Jensen.
This tube is from the latest pack 55 and is available at

It kit is called “Un-teal We Meet Again” by
This is my second tutorial with this awesome kit
which can also be found at

You will also mask 141 by

Font of choice.

Please check out my “About my tutorials” page before you start if this is the first tutorial of mine you have followed, thank you.

I used a drop shadow of vertical and horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 650 pixels and fill with white.

Copy pp5, make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.

Paste element 4 as a new layer, resize 50% and rotate 20 degrees to the left.  Select the interior of the element with your magic wand, expand the selection by 20 and make a new layer below it, copy pp2 and paste it into the selection, deselect.  Apply the shadow to the frame, merge it down onto the paper and move up and to the left.

Paste your main tube as a new layer, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  I resized this tube 75% and coloured the hair all teal.

Paste element 15 as a new layer, resize 40% and mirror, drag below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 26 as a new layer, resize 70%, place in position and apply the shadow.

Paste element 24 as a new layer, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 21 as a new layer and bring to the top, resize 90%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 14 as a new layer, resize 35% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 13 as a new layer, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 9 as a new layer, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 19 as a new layer, resize 28% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 1 as a new layer, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 17 as a new layer, resize 50% and rotate 60 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 11 as a new layer, resize 25% and rotate 40 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers now and make any necessary adjustments.

Open your tube again and reverse the colours you used, paste the tube as a new layer, mirror it, drag it down until it’s just above the merged frame layer and place in position resizing if needed. I left the tube the original size this time.  Check again the position of the mask then select the mask, float it and defloat it, invert the selection, activate the tube again and hit delete to remove the excess, deselect.  If you need to do a little more blending out, use a large eraser size 50 with opacity set to 10 and dab around the part you want to blend out.  I did this with the arm she is holding behind her head.

Paste element 10 as a new layer, resize 30% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, drag it below the tube you have just applied the mask to, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 28 as a new layer, resize 50% and position on the last element.  Duplicate, mirror the duplicate, drag it below the merged frame layer and position on the left.

When you are all done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text, then export on a transparent background as a png.
