About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the beautiful art of
Jessica Galbreth from The Vintage Angel collection.
You need a license to use Jessica’s art, available at

The kit I used is called “If You Love Something” by
This beautiful kit was created for and inspired by
Omneya from
You can purchase it at

You will also need a mask, I used mask 32 by
Babes Designz.
Unfortunately Babes has removed her blog so
I have uploaded the mask for you
here.

I used the Windows font
Century Gothic.

Please check out my “About my tutorials” page if this is the first tutorial of mine you have followed.

I used a drop shadow of vertical and horizontal 5, opacity 75, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 600 pixels and fill with white.

Paste Moon-GI_IfYouLoveSomething as a new layer, resize 50%, move up and to the left and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Window-GI_IfYouLoveSomething as a new layer, resize 66%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste your tube as a new layer, drag below the window, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  I resized my tube 90% and used the Digital Noise Removal adjustment (Adjust – Digital Noise Removal with Correction Blend set to 40), then unsharped mask.

Paste WA3-GI_IfYouLoveSomething as a new layer and bring to the top, resize 80%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Netting-GI_IfYouLoveSomething as a new layer, resize 60% and apply the drop shadow, drag down below the tube and place in position.

Paste Grass-GI_IfYouLoveSomething as a new layer, resize 85%, mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Flowers2-GI_IfYouLoveSomething as a new layer, resize 70%, mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Cluster-GI_IfYouLoveSomething as a new layer and bring to the top, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Hat-GI_IfYouLoveSomething as a new layer, resize 35%, mirror, drag below the word art, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Book-GI_IfYouLoveSomething as a new layer, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Ribbon2-GI_IfYouLoveSomething as a new layer, resize 65%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste WaxRose-GI_IfYouLoveSomething as a new layer and bring to the top, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Brackets-GI_IfYouLoveSomething as a new layer and drag below the rose,  resize 50%, place in position on the left and apply the drop shadow, duplicate move the duplicate over to the right and erase any part that overlaps hiding the join behind the rose.

Paste Key-GI_IfYouLoveSomething as a new layer and bring to the top, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Berries-GI_IfYouLoveSomething as a new layer, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Bird-GI_IfYouLoveSomething as a new layer, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments.

Click on the bottom white background layer, make a new layer, paste one of the papers into the selection (depends what colour background you will use your tag on), deselect and apply the mask (you will need to have the box “Invert mask data” checked).   Rotate the mask 10 degrees to the left, move it over to the left and use your Pick Tool (Raster Deform tool in older versions) to stretch it out by pulling at the nodes so some shows on the right.

Paste Smuged3-GI_IfYouLoveSomething as a new layer, resize 90%, position bottom, left and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Butterfly-GI_IfYouLoveSomething as a new layer and bring to the top, resize 18%, duplicate, mirror the duplicate, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste Sparkles-GI_IfYouLoveSomething as a new layer, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Cloud-GI_IfYouloveSomething asa new layer, resize 50%, drag below the book and place in position.

When you are done, crop your tag if needed, add your copyright information and text, then export on a transparent background as a png.
