About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used a beautiful tube by
Verymany.
You can purchase the tube at

I used a fabulous collab kit called “A Love that Lasts” by
and

These two kits complement each other perfectly and
have many more beautiful elements than I have used.
You can purchase the kit at

You will also need a background mask, I used mask 79 by

I used the font

Please check out my “About my tutorials” page if this is the first tutorial of mine you have followed, thank you.

I used a drop shadow of vertical and horizontal 8, opacity 80, blur 10.

Open Vaybs mask, rotate it 90 degrees to the right and minimize it.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 600 pixels and fill with white.

Copy Carita’s paper 3, make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection and apply Vaybs’ mask.  Resize 95%.

Copy Carita’s paper 1, make another layer on your canvas and paste this paper into the selection, deselect, open Dee’s mask and apply it to the paper.

Paste Carita’s element 16 as a new layer, resize 80%,  position on the left and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Carita’s element 22 as a new layer,  resize 65% and position on the right.  Select the interior of the element with your magic wand, expand the selection by 10 and make a new layer below the element, copy paper 1 again and paste it into the selection, deselect.  We will come back to this.

Paste Carita’s element 17 as a new layer, resize 70% and rotate 20 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste your main tube as a new layer, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  I resized my tube 42%.

Paste Carita’s element 8 as a new layer, resize 45% and mirror, drag below the watch, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Dee’s element 25 as a new layer, drag above the watch, resize 45% and rotate 90 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Carita’s element 13 as a new layer, resize 40% and rotate 70 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Dee’s element 6 as a new layer, resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Dee’s element 1 as a new layer, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Carita’s element 9 as a new layer, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Carita’s element 10 as a new layer, resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Carita’s element 2 as a new layer, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Carita’s element 5 as a new layer, resize 35% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste Dee’s element 7 as a new layer, resize 65% and rotate 90 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments.

Paste Dee’s element 19 as a new layer just below the tube and place in position.

Paste Dee’s element 20 as a new layer and bring to the top, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste your tube again below the frame, mirror it and place in position.  Select the interior of the frame and expand as before, invert the selection and hit delete on the tube to remove the excess, deselect.  Set the blend mode on the tube to “Overlay” and lower the opacity to around 75.  Apply the drop shadow to the frame.

Click on Vaybs’ mask to activate it, then float and defloat it, paste Carita’s element 1 as a new layer just above the mask, resize it 70% and position it so some of the writing shows in the top, right hand corner of the mask, invert the selection and hit delete on the element to remove the excess then set the blend mode to “Overlay”.

When you are done, crop your tag if necessary, add your copyright info and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
