About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the fabulous tube “Mob Scene”
from the new pack 50 by
Barbara Jensen.
Pack 50 contains two previous exclusives that have
been totally re-done and have tones of brand new layers!
You can purchase the tube at

The kit is “Let’s Celebrate” by
The kit is also available at

You will also need a mask, I used mask 84 by

I used the font

Please check out my “About my tutorials” page if this is the first tutorial of mine you have followed, thank you.

I used a drop shadow of vertical and horizontal 2, opacity 85, blur 5.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 600 pixels and fill with white.

Open and copy pp10, make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.  Resize 110%.

Open element 8, paste as a new layer and resize 70%.   Select the interior of the element with you magic wand and expand the selection by 20, make a new layer below it, open and copy pp7 and paste it into the selection, deselect.  Apply the drop shadow to the frame, merge it down onto the paper and move it up and to the left.

Open element 16 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 50%,  rotate 20 degrees to the right and position on the right.  Select the interior with you magic wand, expand the selection as before and make a new layer below it, open and copy pp5 and paste it into the selection.  Paste your tube or, the close up if you have one, as a new layer, resize as needed and position in the frame, invert the selection and hit delete to remove the excess, deselect.  Change the blend mode on the tube to “Hard Light” and lower the opacity to around 50.  Apply the drop shadow to the frame.

Open element 20 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 80%, drag down to above the merged layer and place in position.

Open your main tube, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.   If you are using one of Barbara’s layered tubes, duplicate it and close the original, pick your layers and copy merged.  I resized my tube 70%.

Open element 12 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 65%, drag below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 9 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 70%, position behind the tube, erase the stalk and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 27 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 45% and rotate 20 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 25 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 14, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.   Resize 90% and duplicate, place both elements along the bottom erasing parts that overlap and apply the drop shadow to each.

Open element 30 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 90% and rotate 90 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 13 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 35% and mirror, drag below the ribbon and flowers and position on the right, duplicate, flip the duplicate and position on the left, apply the drop shadow to both layers.

Open element 22 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 5, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.  Resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 24 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 28 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 40% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, drag below the glass, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers now and make any necessary adjustments.

Open element4 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 50%, move to just below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 18 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 40% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 3 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 15 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 70% and position just above the tube.  Duplicate, drag the duplicate down to just above the black rose and position on the left, duplicate again, mirror, drag up above element 25 (the glass ball) and move over to the right.

When you are all done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text, then export as a png on a transparent background.
