About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

This tutorial uses the tube “Dani Devine”
from pack 49 by
This is a gorgeous tube and is available for purchase at
Barbara’s store.

The kit is called “Radiant Frost” from
What a fabulous kit with some great element!
The kit can also be purchased at

You will also need a mask, I used big mask 017 by
Vix.

I used the font

Please check out my “About my tutorials” page before starting if this is the first tutorial if mine that you have followed.

I used a drop shadow of vertical and horizontal 5, opacity 80, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 700 pixels and fill with white.

Open and copy pp1, make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.

Open element 7, paste as a new layer and resize 65%.

Open your tube and paste as a new layer.  Resizing the tube as needed, line it up with the frame and then apply the drop shadow.  If you are using one of Barbara’s layered tubes, duplicate it and close the original, pick your layers and merge visible.  I resized my tube 70%.

Go back to the frame and select the interior of it with your magic wand, expand the selection by 10, make a new layer below it and fill with black.  Paste your tube again or close up if you have one and, resizing as needed, position in the frame, invert the selection and hit delete to remove the excess, deselect.  I used the close up resized 75%.  Apply the drop shadow to the frame and lower the opacity on the tube to around 50.

Open element 5 and paste as a new layer, it should be between the frame and the tube.  Resize 55% and position on the right, duplicate, mirror the duplicate and position on the left.  Apply the drop shadow to both layers.

Open element 6, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.  Resize 80% and rotate 90 degrees to the left, duplicate and mirror the duplicate.  Place both elements into position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Open element 25 and paste as a  new layer.  Resize 50% and rotate 10 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 24 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 45% and rotate 20 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 18 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 35%, drag below element 24, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 1 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 15, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.  Resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 10 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 23 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 18a and paste as a new layer.  Resize 35% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 22 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 22a and paste as a new later.  Resize 35%, mirror and rotate 20 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 2 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 19 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 35% and duplicate three times. Position the elements around your tag and apply the drops shadow to each.

Check your layer positions and make any necessary adjustments.  When you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text, then export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background.
