About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the art of
Enamorte.
You need a license to use Enamorte’s art,
available at

I used a gorgeous kit inspired by this tube (15-2) by
The kit can also be purchased at

You will also need a mask, I used mask 141 by

I used the font

Please check out my “About my tutorials” page if this is the first tutorial of mine that you have followed, thank you.

I used a drop shadow of vertical and horizontal 5, opacity 80, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 650 pixels and fill with white.

Open and copy pp3, make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.  Resize 95%.

Open element 4 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 75% and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 5 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 45% and place in position.  Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand and expand the selection by 10.  Open pp5 and paste as a new layer below the frame,  resize 35% and position in the frame so the borders are not showing, invert the selection and hit delete.

Open your tube and paste as a new layer, resize as needed and position in the frame, again hit delete to remove the excess and deselect.  Apply the drop shadow to the tube and merge it down onto the paper, apply the Blinds texture with Width set to 3, Opacity to 30, colour black and Light from top/left checked.  Repeat the Blinds texture with the same settings and also Horizontal checked.  Apply the drop shadow to the frame.  I used the close up tube resized 70%.

Open your main tube and paste as a new layer, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  I resized the main tube also 70%.

Open element 7 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 65% and rotate 40 degrees to the left, drag below the tube and place in position.  Duplicate, mirror the duplicate, drag it down below the merged frame layer and place in position.  Apply the drop shadow to both layers.

Open element 17 and paste as a new layer just below the main tube.   Resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 15, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.  Resize 50% and rotate 70 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 6 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 55%, duplicate, resize the duplicate 80% and mirror the original,  place both flowers into position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Open element 20 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 19 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 40% and rotate 20 degrees to the left.  Drag below the roses, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 1 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 45%, drag between the two roses, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 3, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.   Resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments.

Open element 8 and paste as a new layer immediately above your main tube.  Resize 68% and position on your tube, zoom right in and erase parts of the chain so it looks like its wrapped around the tube then apply the drop shadow.

When you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text, then export on a transparent background as a png.
