About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

The matching kit, also called “Christine Marie” is by
This is a huge kit and there are many more elements
thank I have used in my tag.
The kit can also be purchased at

You will also need a mask, I used mask 565 by

I used the font

Please check out my “About my tutorials” page before starting the tutorial, thank you.

I used a drop shadow throughout of vertical and horizontal 2, opacity 85, blur 5.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 550 pixels and fill with white.

Open paper Christine Marie (21) and copy,  make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.  Resize 90%.

Open Christine Marie (46) and paste as a new layer.   Resize 55% and move up and to the left.  Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand and expand the selection by 20, open paper Christine Marie (25) and copy, make a new layer below the frame and paste the paper into the selection, deselect.  We will come back to this later.

Open the tube and paste as a new layer, resize 65%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Christine Marie (24) and paste as a new layer.   Resize 65%, drag down below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Christine Marie (14) and paste as a new layer.  Resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Christine Marie (67) and paste as a new layer.   Resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Christine Marie (65) and paste as a new layer.   Resize 40% and rotate 10 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Christine Marie (36) and paste as a new layer.   Resize 25% and rotate 80 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Christine Marie (61) and paste as a new layer.  Resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Christine Marie (50) and paste as a new layer.   Resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Christine Marie (76) and paste as a new layer.   Resize 17%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Christine Marie (125), paste as a new layer and bring to the top.  Resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Christine Marie (6) and paste as a new layer.  Resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Christine Marie (74) and paste as a new layer.  Resize 17%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments.

Click on the paper that you pasted into the selection below the frame, paste your tube as a new layer again, resize and position in the frame.  I used layer 5 of the tube resized 50%.  Lower the opacity of the tube to around 45 and apply the drop shadow to the frame.

When you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text, then export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background as a png.
