About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I have used another tube “Hot Tomato”  from
Barbara Jensen’s  new pack 40.
The tube is available at Barbara’s store.

I used another awesome kit “A Touch of Vintage” by
The kit is also available at Barbara’s store.

You will also need a mask, I used Weescotslass’ mask 141.

Font is Amorinda.

Before starting the tutorial, please check out my “About my tutorials” page, thank you.

I used a drop shadow throughout of vertical and horizontal 2, opacity 75, blur 5.

Open a new transparent canvas 600 by 600 pixels and flood fill with white.

Open pp1 and copy, make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.  Duplicate and merge the duplicate down onto the original copy.

Open el1 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 75% and apply the drop shadow.  You will need to erase the part of this element that shows at the bottom of the tag but you can do that when you have more elements in place.

Open el17 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 80%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el10 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open your tube and paste as a new layer, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow.   If you are using one of Barbara’s layered tubes, open it and close the original, make your layer options and merge visible.  I resized my tube 65%.

Open el16 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 60%, drag down below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el2 and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, flip, resize 60% and rotate 30 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el18 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70% and rotate 100 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el20 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el6 and paste as a new layer.   Mirror, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el18 again and paste as a new layer.   Mirror, resize 70%, place in position, erase the stalk that shows on the right of the tube and apply the drop shadow.

Open el13 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el19 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 45%, duplicate, position one on either side of the tag and apply the drop shadow to each.

Open el9, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.   Resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el5 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 340%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el11 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el4 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 28%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el7 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el15 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments.  When you are done, crop your tag and add your copyright information and text, then export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background as a png.
