Dreaming

In this tutorial I used the art of Tiffany Toland-Scott.
You need a license to use Tiffany’s art,
available at CreativeDesign Outlet.

The kit I used was inspired by this tube and is by
This is a beautiful kit and is also available at

You will also need a mask, I used Designs by Vayb’s mask 133.

Font is 1 Snappy DNA

Remember to sharpen up those elements after resizing/rotating or your tag will look a little blurry; you can check out my Tips and Tricks page for more info.

I used a drop shadow of vertical and horizontal 2, opacity 75, blur 5.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 550 pixels and flood fill with white.

Open pp2 and copy, make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.

Open el9 and paste as a new layer, move over to the right and apply the drop shadow.

Open el12, paste as a new layer and resize 55%.  Select the interior of the element with your magic wand and expand the selection by 10.  Open pp6, paste as a new layer and drag down below el12, resize 45% and position nicely in the element, invert the selection and hit delete to remove the excess paper, deselect, apply the shadow to the frame, merge it down onto the paper and place in position.

Open el5 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 85%, place in position and apply the drop shadow. Your tag should look something like my screenshot below.

Open el15 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open your tube and paste as a new layer, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  I resized my tube 85%.

Open el13 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70%, drag down below the tube and position to the right of her, duplicate, mirror the duplicate and move over to the left, apply the drop shadow to both layers.

Open el8 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el2 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 75%, place in position behind the tube and apply the drop shadow.

Open el18 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 65%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open e10 and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el4, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.   Resize 50% and duplicate, mirror the duplicate, place both flowers into position and apply the drop shadow to each.  We will move the flower on the right up later.

Open el2 again and paste as a new layer.   Resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el14 and paste as a new layer.   Mirror, resize 85%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el7 and paste as a new layer.  Mirror and flip, resize 65%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  Now bring el4, the flower, to the top.

Open el17 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el1 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 25% and duplicate.  Rotate one of the butterflies 20 degrees to the left and the other 30 degrees to the right, place both in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments and when you are done, crop your tag and add your copyright information and text, then export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background as a png.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, if you have any questions, you can email me here.  As always, I would love to see your result and include it in the gallery!
