About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the “Angels Collection 2”
by Zindy S.D. Nielsen and Creationz by Jo.
This is a beautiful collection comprising two tubes by
Zindy and a matching kit by Jo,
currently on sale with 50% discount
at the incredible price of $2.25 which is not much more
than the regular price of a single tube!
The collection is available here.

You will also need a mask, I used Insatiable Dreams mask 565, here.

Font is "Before the Rain", here.

You will need to sharpen up your elements after resizing/rotating as otherwise they will be a little blurry; check out my Tips and Tricks page for more info.

I used a drop shadow throughout of vertical and horizontal 5, opacity 75, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 600 pixels and floodfill with white.

Open CBJ_AngelsP6 and copy.  Make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.  Resize 88%.

Open CBJ_Angels-Clock and paste as a new layer.  Resize 50%, move up and to the left and apply the drop shadow.

Open your tube and paste as a new layer, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  I used the “Rest my love” tube resized 70%.

Open CBJ_Angels-Blossom2 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 50%, flip  and rotate 60 degrees to the right, drag down below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open CBJ_Angels-BougainvileFlowers2 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open CBJ_Angels-HrtTree and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70% and rotate 20 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open CBJ_Angels-FlowerGem and paste as a new layer.  Resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open CBJ_Angels-Star and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open CBJ_Angels-Steps and paste as a new layer.   Resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open CBJ_Angels-Cloud1, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.   Mirror, resize 60% and place in position.

Open CBJ_Angels_Stars and paste as a new layer.  Resize 60% and place in position.

Open CBJ-Angels-Book1 and paste as a new layer.   Mirror, resize 23%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open CBJ_Angels-Dove and paste as a new layer.  Resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  Open your erasor tool and set the size to 20 and opacity to 10, dab on the dove’s feet to blend them into the cloud.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments.  When you are done, crop your tag and add your copyright information and text, then export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background as a png.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, if you have any questions you can email me here.  As always, I would love to see your result and include it in the gallery!
