About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the art of Suzanne Woolcott.
You need a license to use Suzanne’s art,
I purchased mine for this tube from AMI but Suzanne
now sells them at her store here.

The kit I used is called “Woodland Walk” by
You can get it here.

You will also need a mask, I used Horseplay’s Pasture mask 11, here.

Font is Ammonite, here.

Don’t forget to sharpen up your elements after resizing/rotating to take away the blurriness this causes.  For more info, you can check out my Tips and Tricks page.

I used a drop shadow  throughout of vertical and horizontal 2, opacity 80, blur 5.

Open a new transparent canvas 550 by 500 pixels and flood fill with white.

Open one of the papers and copy, I used dcorbitt_woodlandwalk_pp18.   Make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.  Resize 85%.

Open frame2 and paste as a new layer.

Open dcorbitt_woodlandwalk_pp11 and copy.  Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand and expand the selection by 5, make a new layer below it, paste the paper into the selection and deselect.  Apply the drop shadow to the frame and merge it down onto the paper, move over a little to the left.

Open your tube and paste as a new layer, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open decorbitt_woodlandwalk_leaf1 and paste as a new layer.  Drag down below the merged player, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open decorbitt_woodlandwalk_leaf4 and paste as a new layer.  Flip, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open decorbitt_woodlandwalk_flower and paste as a new layer.  Resize 20%,  place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open dcorbitt_woodlandwalk_flower5 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open dcorbitt_woodlandwalk_cloud and paste as a new layer.  Drag up above the merged layer, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open dcorbitt_woodlandwalk_owl and paste as a new layer.  Resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open dcorbitt_woodlandwalk_flower4 and paste as a new layer.  Place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open dcorbitt_woodlandwalk_flower3 and paste as a new layer.  Place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open dcorbitt_woodlandwalk_bow3 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open dcorbitt_woodlandwalk_fox and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open dcorbitt_woodlandwalk_leaf3 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open dcorbitt_woodlandwalk_leaf1 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments.  When you are done, crop your tag and add your copyright information and text then export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a tranparent background as a png.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, if you have and questions, you can email me here.  As always, I would love to see your result and include it in the gallery!
