So Hot!

In this tutorial I used the awesome art of Elias Chatzoudis.
You need a license to use this tube,
available here.
I just love this tube, it’s now my favourite by Elias!

I used the awesome mix and match collab “So Hot” by
This collab is awesome and absolutely perfect for this tube,
you can get the kits here.

You will also need a mask, I used Insatiable Dreams mask 565, here.

Font is Devil’s Snare, here.

Don’t forget to sharpen up those elements after resizing as otherwise they will be a little blurry; check out my Tips and Tricks page for more info.

Unless otherwise stated in the tutorial, I used a drop shadow of vertical and horizontal 2, opacity 75, blur 5.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 550 pixels and flood fill with white.

Open sb_pmt_SoHotCollab_pp7 and copy.  Make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper in the selection, deselect and apply the mask.  Resize 85%.

Open sb_pmt_SoHotCollab_heart wings deco and paste as a new layer.  Resize 85% and move up a little.

Open sb_pmt_SoHotCollab_pp7 again and copy.  Select the interior of the deco with your magic wand and expand the selection by 5, make a new layer below it and paste the paper into the selection, deselect.  We will come back to this later.

Open cc_swirl-02 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 65%, drag down so its just above the mask layer, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open sb_pmt_SoHotCollab_flame 2 and paste as a new layer.  Position behind the left hand horn on the deco and erase the part that shows below the wings.

Open sb_pmt_SoHotCollab_flame1 and paste as a new layer.  Position to the right of the first flame and again erase the part that shows at the bottom.

Open sb_pmt_SoHotCollab_flame 3 and paste as a new layer. Mirror, position behind the right hand horn, again erase the part at the bottom.

Open sb_pmt_SoHotCollab_flame 2 again and paste as a new layer.  Position to the left of flame 3.

Open sb_pmt_SoHotCollab_wordart 2 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 75%, place in position and apply the drop shadow changing the vertical and horizontal to 1 and blur to 3.

Open your tube, paste as a new layer and bring to the top, resize as needed (I resized mine 85%) place in position and apply the drop shadow (remember to change it back to the original settings).

Open cc_ribbon-01 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 45%, drag down below the tube and place in position on the deco.  There is already a drop shadow on this element so no need to add another.

Open cc_flower-01 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 65%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open cc_flower-03 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 75%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open cc_flair-01 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open cc_cherries and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open sb_SoHotCollab-beads1 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 55%, drag down until they are below the deco and paper layers and position so they show on the left hand side.  Duplicate and position the duplicate so a few show on the right erasing any that are too far out or show at the bottom.  Apply the drop shadow to both layers.

Open sb_SoHotCollab-feather, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.  Resize 15%, duplicate and mirror the duplicate. Place both feathers into position and apply the drop shadow changing the opacity to 50.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments.

Open your tube again or the close up if you have one.  Click on the paper layer inside the deco and paste the tube as a new layer, resize as needed (I used the close up and resized 90%) and place in position.  Again, select the interior of the deco with your magic wand and expand the selection by 5, invert it, activate the tube and hit delete to remove the excess, deselect.  Change the blend mode on the tube to “Overlay” and apply the drop shadow to the frame (remember to change the settings back).

When you are done, crop your tag and add your copyright information and text, then export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background as a png.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, I certainly enjoyed writing it.  If you have any questions, please email me here and don't forget to send me your result, I love to see them and include them in the gallery!
