About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the art of Verymany.
You need a license to use Verymany’s art,
available here.

I used a gorgeous kit called “Who Me?” by

Unfortunately this kit is no longer available but I have left the
tut up for people that already have it or have a substitute.

You will also need a mask, I used mask 16 by Babes Designz.
Unfortunately Babes has removed her blog so I have uploaded the mask for you here.

Font of Choice.

Your elements will need sharpening after resizing, otherwise they will be a little blurry, check out my Tips and Tricks page for more info.

I used a drop shadow throughout of vertical and horizontal 2, opacity 75, blur 5.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 600 pixels and flood fill with white.

Open tk-whome-paper2 and copy.  Make a new layer on your canvas, select all, pate the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.  Resize 85%.

Open tk-whome-wordart2 and as paste as a new layer.  Resize 65%, move slightly up and to the left and apply the drop shadow.

Open tk-whome-frame2 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 65%, move over to the right a bit and apply the drop shadow.

Open tk-whome-frame4 and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 55% and move over to the left.  Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand and expand the selection by 5.

Open tk-whome-paper5 and paste as a new layer, resize 50%, drag down below the frame and place  in position, invert the selection and hit delete to remove the excess paper, deselect.  Apply the drop shadow to the frame and merge it down onto the paper layer.

Open your tube, paste as a new layer, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open tk-whome-element6 and paste as a new layer.  Flip, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open tk-whome-worldart1 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open tk-whome-element13 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 80% and rotate 120 degrees to the left, drag down below the tube, place in position, erase any out that shows below the word art and ribbon and apply the drop shadow.

Open tk-whome-element7 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 80%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open tk-whome-element16 and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open tk-whome-element22 and paste as a new layer.  Place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments, when you are happy, crop your tag and add your copyright information and text, then export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background as a png.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, if you have any questions, please email me here.  I would of course love to see your result and include it in the gallery!
