No Season for Halloween

In this tutorial I used the art of Elias Chatzoudis.
You need a license to use Elias’ art,
you can get one here.

I used a fun kit called
“No Season for Halloween” by
Sky Scraps.
Halloween is my favourite time of the year so I am
very happy to have a bit of Halloween in May lol.
Love this kit, thank you Marie.
You can get it here.

You will also need a mask, I used Gem’s mask 181, here.

I used the font Big Fish Ensemble, here.

Remember that your elements will need sharpening after resizing, for more info, check out my Tips and Tricks page.

I used a drop shadow of vertical and horizontal 2, opacity 75, blur 5.

Open a new transparent canvas 600 by 600 pixels and flood fill with white.

Open SkyScraps-NSFH-E52 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 85%, move a little up and to the right and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-NSFH-E54 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 85%, move a little down and to the left and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-NSFH-E46 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 55%, select the interior of the frame with your magic wand and expand the selection by 20.

Open SkyScraps-NSFH-PP5 and copy.  Make a new layer below the frame and paste the paper into the selection.  Do not de-select.

Open the close up of the tube and mirror it, paste it as a new layer, resize if needed and position inside the frame, invert the selection and hit delete to remove the excess. Change the blend mode on the tube to “overlay” and apply the drop shadow to the frame.

Open your main tube, paste it as a new layer and bring to the top.  Resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-NSFH-E51 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 40%, drag down below the main tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-NSFH-E57 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-NSFH-E56 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-NSFH-E15 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-NSFH-E23 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-NSFH-E22 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-NSFH-E28 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-NSFH-E14 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-NSFH-E5 and paste as a new layer. Resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-NSFH-E1, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.  Resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-NSFH-E2 and paste as a new layer. Resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Click on your white background layer to activate it, make a new layer and floodfill with a nice bright green, I used #58a215, apply the mask and resize 95.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments, crop your tag and add your copyright information and text and export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background as a png.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, if you have any questions, please email me here.  As always, I would love to see your result!
