About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the part of Pinuptoons.
You need a license to use Pinuptoons art.
I purchased mine from CILM but they are now available here.

I am using a fabulous kit called “Coffee Break” by
You can get the kit here.
Thank you Chassity!

You will also need a mask,
I used Weescotslass’ mask 84, here.

Font of choice.

Remember to sharpen up your elements after resizing, for more info, check out by Tips and Tricks page.

I used a drop shadow throughout of vertical and horizontal 5, opacity 70, blur 5.

Open a new transparent canvas 600 by 600 pixels and flood fill with white.

Open one of the papers and copy, I used PDS_CB-paper2.  Make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.  Resize 90%.

Open PDS_CB-print2 and paste as a new layer.  Flip and resize 80%, move a little up and to the right.

Open PDS_CB-frame5 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 60%, move over a little to the left and apply the drop shadow.

Open your tube and paste as a new layer, resize as required and position on the frame, apply the drop shadow.

Open PDS_CB-leaves1 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open PDS_CB-flower3 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 40% and rotate 90 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open PDS_CB-string1 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 50% and rotate 90 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open one of the cups, I used PDS_CB-cup2 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open PDS_CB-spoon and paste as a new layer.  Resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open PDS_CB-treat2 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 12%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open PDS_CB-coffeebeans and paste as a new layer.  Resize 17%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open PDS_CB_bubbles and paste as a new layer.  Resize 40% and apply the drop shadow, place in position on the cup erasing some at the bottom so the bubbles look like they are coming out of the cup.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments. When you are happy, crop your tag and resize if required, add your copyright information and text and export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background as a png.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, if you have any questions, please email me here.  As always, I would love to see your result and include it in the gallery!
