About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I am using the art of Alicia Mujica.
You require a license to use Alicia’s art,
you can get one here.
Please note that you need to obtain a license specific to Alicia.

I am using another kit from the Colour Pop series by
Creationz by Jo called “Green Glow”.
The kits are exclusive to Dreamscape Imaging.

You will also require a mask.
I used Yez’ mask 069, which you can get here.

Font used is Zeitgeister Bahn
This is a free font and you can get it here

Don’t forget to sharpen your elements after resizing/rotating to take away the blurriness (effects – sharpen – unsharp mask – radius and clipping 5, strength 50).

Drop shadow used throughout is horizontal and vertical 2, opacity 70, blur 5.

Open a new transparent canvas 600 by 600 pixels and flood fill with white.

Open one of the papers and copy, I used CBJ_CPGG_P4.  Make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection and apply your mask.

Open CBJ_CPGG_WpFrame and paste as a new layer. Resize 80% and apply the drop shadow.

Open CBJ_CPGG_PlantFrame and paste as a new layer. Resize 50%, position on top of the first frame and apply the drop shadow.

Open CBJ_CPGG_FlowerBunch and paste as a new layer. Mirror, resize 60%, place in position on the bottom of the frame and apply the drop shadow.

Open CBJ_CPGG_ClockFace and paste as a new layer. Resize 25%, drag down below the flower bunch layer and place in position, apply the drop shadow.

Open CBJ_CPGG_DoubleRib and paste as a new layer. Resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open your tube and paste as a new layer, resize as required and place in position, apply the drop shadow.

Open CBJ_CPGG_Keys and paste as a new layer. Resize 20%, place in position on the clockface and apply the drop shadow.

Open CBJ_CPGG_Lantern and paste as a new layer. Resize 55% and place in position. If your tube is not holding out her hand, hang the lantern on the frame behind the tube. Apply the drop shadow.

Open CBJ_CPGG_Sparkles and paste as a new layer. Mirror, resize 45% and place in position.

Open CBJ_CPGG_Flutter3 and paste as a new layer. Resize 25% and rotate 30 degrees to the right. Duplicate his layer and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each layer.

My tube is quite fancy with the wings and flowers so I didn’t add any more elements, if you are using a less fancy tube, choose some more elements and position them behind your tube.

Crop your tag and resize as required. Add your copyright information and text and export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background as a png.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, if you have any problems, please email me here. I would love to see your result and put it on my gallery!
