About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I am using the art of Denis Zilber.
Denis allows his art to be used without payment but you require
a group permission.
I got my permission here.

I am using another of Pimp’d Designz mini kits called
Snow White from her Fairytales set.

I used two masks, Vix’ mask 176, here
(click on "Goodies" at the top)
and Monti’s circle mask here.

Font I used was Hardy Har Har which is a free font.

If  you dont have a second tube for the mirror reflection,
you can leave the mirror blank or, if your main tube is sideways
on, duplicate that for the reflection.

I used the same drop shadow on all my elements, vertical and horizontal 2, opacity 70, blur 5.

Don’t forget to sharpen your elements after resizing to counteract the blurriness (adjust – sharpen – unsharp mask, radius and clipping 5, strength 30).

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 600 pixels and flood fill with white.

Open pd-mirror and paste as a new layer. Resize 90% and apply the drop shadow.

If you have a second tube, paste it as a new layer, resize it to fit the mirror, erase any parts that show over the frame and lower the opacity.

Open pd-greens-01 and paste as a new layer. Rotate 105 degrees to the left and mirror, resize 55%, position on top of the frame and apply the drop shadow.

Open pd-flower-01 and paste as a new layer. Resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open pd-flower-02 and paste as a new layer. Resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open pd-apple and paste as a new layer. Mirror, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open pd-ribbon-04 and paste as a new layer. Resize 65%, drag down below the apple and flower layers and place in position. Erase any that shows to the right hand side of the apple and apply the drop shadow.

Open your tube, paste as a new layer and bring it to the top, resize as required, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open pd-paper-01 and duplicate. Apply Vix’ mask to the duplicate and copy. Go to your bottom white layer and paste as a new layer. Resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open pd-print-01 and paste as a new layer. Resize 75%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open another of the papers and copy it. I used the same paper as I did for Vix’ mask layer but re-coloured it to complement my tube. Go back to the bottom white layer, make a new layer, select all and paste the paper into the selection. Apply the second mask.  I resized my mask 90% and lowered the opacity to 70.

Crop your tag and resize if required.  Apply your copyright information and text and then export as a jpeg with compression set to 5.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, if you have any questions, please email me here.
