About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I am using the wonderful new scrap kit by
Grunge & Glitter called Mishka Maniac.
Again this kit is jam packed with goodies.
I have written two tutorials with the kit
without using the same element twice
and there are still tons of things I have not used!!

You will need a body tube and a face tube.
I am using a Lady Mishka tube
which was a free gift from Lady Miskha and does
not require a license.
Lady Miskha sells her tubes at Scraps and the City.

You will also require a mask.
I used Monti’s circle mask which you can get here.

I used the font Last Words
which is a free font.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 600 pixels and flood fill with white.

Open frame10 and paste as a new layer. Resize 75%.

Open you face tube, paste as a new layer, mirror and resize if required and position below the frame. Make the frame layer active and select the interior of each part with your magic wand, make sure to select all the parts, expand the selection by 5, invert the selection, activate your face layer and hit delete to remove the excess tube. Do not de-select.

Make a new layer below your frame layer, invert the selection again and flood fill with black. Go back to your face layer and lower the opacity to 50. Apply a drop shadow to the frame vertical and horizontal 2, opacity 70, blur 5.

Open sparkleheart and paste as a new layer. Resize 80% and place in position over the frame.

Open some of the elements, resize and position around the frame. I used the jewelflowers which I resized 20%. Apply the drop shadow to each element.

Open skate and paste as a new layer. Resize 35%, apply the drop shadow and position as in my tag.

Open emobear and paste as a new layer. Mirror, resize 40%, place in position leaning against skate and apply the drop shadow.

Open nailpolish and paste as a new layer. Resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open lipstick and paste as a new layer. Resize 25%, mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open butterfly1 and paste as a new layer. Resize 15%, mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open butterfly2 and paste as a new layer. Again resize 15%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open your tube and paste as a new layer. Resize as required and apply the drop shadow.

Open one of the papers, I used paper4. Apply your mask. Copy and paste as a new layer over the bottom white layer. Resize 65% and place in position.

Crop your tag and resize if required. Apply your copyright information and text. Export as a jpeg with compression set to 5.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, if you have any questions, please mail me here.
