About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

This is my second tutorial using Grunge & Glitter's new scrap kit
Mishka Maniac.

I am using the art of Lady Mishka.
You require a license to use Lady Mishka's tubes which I purchased at
Lady Mishka now sells her tubes/licenses at Scraps and the City.

You will also need a mask.
I am using Monti’s circle mask which you can get here.

Font I used is Angelina which is a free font.

Open a new transparent canvas 600 by 650 pixels and flood fill with white.

Open frame3 and paste as a new layer. Resize 84% and apply a drop shadow, vertical and horizontal 1, opacity 70, blur 5.

Open frame6 and paste as a new layer. Resize 70% and apply the drop shadow but changing the vertical and horizontal to 2. Place in position over the top of the first frame.

Open wingedcrownheart and paste as a new layer. Resize 80%, apply the last drop shadow and place in position.

Open ribbon4 and paste as a new layer. Resize 70%, rotate 10 degrees to the left, unsharp mask (adjust – sharpness – unsharp mask, radius and clipping 5, strength 50), apply the last drop shadow and paste into position. We want to wrap the ribbon around the wingedcrownheart layer. To do this, take your rectangle selection tool, make sure the feathering is on 0 and draw a selection around the two ends of the ribbon as in my screenshot below, go to edit – cut. Select none. Right click and paste as a new layer. Line the ribbon parts up and then drag the centre part down below the wingedcrownheart layer.

Open your tube and paste as a new layer. Resize if required, apply the last drop shadow and position.

Open one of the papers, I used paper 11. Apply your mask, copy and paste as a new layer on top of the white background layer. Resize 68% and place in position.

If you use the same tube as I have and don’t want a bare nipple, open stars, make a selection around one, copy and paste as a new layer, resize, apply the drop shadow used on frame3 and place in position.

Crop your tag and resize if required. Add your copyright information and text. Export as a jpeg with compression set to 5.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, if you have any questions, please mail me here.
