About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

Another quick tutorial using Pimp’d Designz versatile kit

In this tag I am using one of CEI’s Half Pints tubes.
You require a license to use CEI's tubes
which can be purchased from mypsptubes.

You will also need a Mask.
I used Becky’s mask 023.
Becky no longer has her site but she allows her masks to be shared.
You can get it here.

Open a new transparent canvas 600 by 650 pixels and flood fill with white.

Open pd-print-01 and paste as a new layer. Resize 80%.

Open pd-frame-03 and paste as a new layer. Resize 60% , select the inside of the frame with your magic wand and expand the selection by 10. Open one of the papers, I used pd-pp-08 which I recoloured more lilac to compliment my tube. Make a new layer below the frame layer and paste the paper into the selection. Go back to the frame layer and apply a drop shadow, vertical and horizontal 5, opacity 60, blur 10.

Open pd-wings and paste as a new layer.  Resize 80%, rotate 15 degrees to the left and unsharp mask (adjust – sharpness – unsharp mask, radius and clipping 5, strength 50). Place in the wings in position below the frame and paper layers and apply a drop shadow as before.

Open pd-greens-01 and paste as a new layer. Resize 80%, rotate 50 degrees to the left and unsharp mask as before. Place in position and apply a drop shadow as before.

Open pd-buckle and paste as a new layer. Rotate 5 degrees to the left and place in position on top of your frame layer, apply a drop shadow as before.

Open pd-flower-02 and paste as a new layer. Resize 60%. Duplicate the flower and resize the copy 80%. Unsharp mask on both flowers as before, place in position and apply a drop shadow as before.

Open your tube, paste as a new layer and resize if necessary. Apply the same drop shadow.

Click on your bottom white layer, select all and make a new layer. Open one of the papers, I used the same paper as before, paste the paper into the selection and apply your mask. Resize the mask if necessary.

Crop your tag and resize to your liking. Add your copyright info and text.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, if you have any problems, please email me here.
