About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I have used the art of Lady Mishka.
You require a license to use Lady Miskha's tubes
which I purchased from PSP Tubes Emporium.
Lady Mishka now sells her tubes/licenses at Scraps and the City.

I have used a really lovely freebie scrap kit called
“Tickled Pink” by Pimp’d Designz.

You will also a need a mask, I used mask 158 by Insatiable  Dreams.

I used the font Amorie regular which is a free font.

Open a new transparent canvas 600 x 600 pixels, you can crop later. Flood fill with white.

Select all, make a new layer, open a paper of your choice, I used pd-pp-09 and paste into selection. Apply your mask.

Open pd-print-01 and paste as a new layer. Resize by 70%.

Open pd-print-03 and paste as a new layer. Resize by 70%.

Open pd-hearts-01 and paste as a new layer. Resize by 70% and apply a drop shadow, vertical and horizontal 2, opacity 40, blur 5.

Open pd-frame-03 and paste as a new layer. Resize by 70% and move a little up on the canvas. Click in side both parts of the frame, expand the selection by 5, make a new layer and flood fill with white. De-select and drag this layer below the frame.

Open your tube, resize if required and position below one of frames. Go back to the frame layer, click inside again and expand the selection as before, go back to your tube, invert selection and cut to remove the excess tube.  Do the same for the other frame this time mirroring the tube. Lower the opacity on both tubes to 60. Go back to your frame layer and add a drop shadow as before.

Open pd-feather and paste as new layer. Resize by 50% and position to the right. Duplicate the feather, mirror and position to the left. Apply a drop shadow to both, vertical and horizontal 2, opacity 40, blur 3.

Open pd-border-01 and paste as a new layer. Resize 70%. Go to adjust – sharpen – unsharp mask, settings radius and clipping 5, strength 30.  Position on the bottom of the feathers and apply a drop shadow vertical and horizontal 1, opacity 40, blur 3.

Open pd-ribbon-3 and paste as a new layer. Resize 50%, mirror, unsharp mask as before, place in position and apply a drop shadow vertical and horizontal 2, opacity 50, blur 5.

Open pd-lips-01 and paste as a new layer. Resize 30% and position on the top corner of your frame, apply the same drop shadow as the ribbon.

Paste your tube again, resize if required, position and apply the same drop shadow.

Add your copyright information and text. Crop and resize as required.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, if you have any problems, please email me here.
