About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I am using the art of Andy Screen.
You require a license to use Andy's tubes which I purchased from Mypsptubes.
Andy now sells his art at PSP Tubes Emporium.

I am also using the fabulous new kit “Diamonds Are…” from Pimp’d Designz.
I re-coloured some elements to complement my tube.

You will need a mask of choice. I used Becky’s mask 023.
Becky’s no longer has her site but allows her masks to be shared.
You can get the mask here.

I used the free font Pass the Chex.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 600 pixels and flood fill with white. You can resize later.

Open pd_mask_01 and paste as a new layer. Resize 60%, rotate to the right 20 degrees.

Open pd-paint-01 and paste as a new layer. Rotate to the left 30 degrees.

Open-pd-print-01 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 80%. Apply a drop shadow vertical and horizontal 2, opacity 40, blur 5.

Open pd-paper-08. Click on your bottom background layer and open a new layer, select all and paste the paper into the selection. De-select and apply your mask.

Click back on your top layer. Open pd-frame-01 and paste as a new layer. Resize 80%, rotate to the left 20 degrees and apply your drop shadow again, this time changing the opacity to 70.

Open pd-frame-01 and paste as a new layer. Resize 60% and apply the same drop shadow as you did for the first frame.  Place in position and erase the parts of the first frame on the left hand side that are over the second frame layer so it looks like the second frame passes through the first frame.

Open pd-stitch-01 and paste as a new layer. Resize 60%, rotate to the left 90 degrees and unsharp mask with clipping and radius on 5 and strength on 30 (adjust – sharpness – unsharp mask). Position below the  frames as my tag.

Open pd-ribbon-02 and paste as a new layer. Resize 40%, un sharp mask as before, position on top of the frames as my tag and apply the same drop shadow as the frames.

Open your tube and paste as a new layer. Resize as required and apply your drop shadow as before.

Open pd-sparkle-01 and paste as a new layer. Resize 80%, drag below your tube and position.

Open pd-bottle-01 and place as a new layer. Resize 40%, place in position below your tube layer and apply the same drop shadow as before.

Open one of the bag elements and paste as a new layer. Resize 50%, place in position and apply the same drop shadow as before.

Open pd-flower-01 and paste as a new layer, resize 20%, place in position and apply your drop shadow. Do the same for pd-flower-02 but resizing 15%.

Check the positioning of all your layers and resize if required. Add your copyright info and text.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, if you have any problems, please email me here.
