About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the beautiful tube “Fairy 4” from
You can purchase the tube from

I used the matched kit “Fairy Dust Dreams” from
This is a lovely kit and can be purchased at

You will need my  mask

Font of choice.

Unless otherwise noted, I used a drop shadow of vertical and horizontal 5, opacity 55, blur 15.

Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 800 pixels and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 7 into the selection, deselect, apply the mask and resized 85% and move down lower on the canvas.

Paste element 99, resize 80% and position towards the top of the mask.

Paste element 55, resize 40%, place in position and change the blend mode to “Overlay”.

Paste element 51, resize 50%,  place in position and apply the drop shadow but with the blur set to 40.

Paste element 112, resize 50%, drag below element 51, place in position and apply the drop shadow (remember to change the settings).

Paste element 46 on the top, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 111, resize 50% and positon along the bottom of the castle, duplicate, flip the copy, duplicate it again and position both below element 51, one on the left and one on the right.

Paste the tube, resize 30%, place in position erasing any that shows below the heart element and apply the drop shadow.

Go back to element 51, duplicate it, drag the copy to the top and erase the back part of it so that the tube and elements look inside it.

Paste element 54, resize 30%, drag below the tube, place in position and blend out the straight end on the left using your eraser with the brush size 100 and opacity 10.  Duplicate, move the copy down a bit and again do any blending in with the eraser.

Paste element 83 above the tube, resize 35%, place in position erasing any below the heart element and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 89, resize 15%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 88, resize 10%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 38, resize 20%, place in position, erase the parts that are cover the tube and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 100, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 102, resize 40%, drag below element 100, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 31, resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 111 again, resize 35% and place in position.

Paste element 33, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 28, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Pate element 113, resize 60%, mirror and place in position.

Check your layers and make any adjustments, then crop your tag, add your copyright information and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
