About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used a tube by
Anna Liwanag.
You can purchase Anna’s tubes at

I used the freebie kit “For Love” by

I used mask kk-iwy-rak-mask from
(just scroll down a bit from the link).

Font is

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 750 pixels and fill with white.

Paste the mask and resize it 25%.  Select all, float and defloat the mask, make a new layer and paste paper 3 into the selection, deselect and delete the original mask layer.

Paste clock, resize 95%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste frame 3, resize 80%, move over to the right and apply the drop shadow.

Paste frame 1, resize 90% and position on top of frame 3.  Select the interior of this frame with your magic wand and expand the selection by 5, make a new layer below it, paste paper 2 into the selection and deselect.   Apply the drop shadow to the frame and merge it down onto the paper.

Paste glitter o3, resize 70%, drag below both frames and position on the left, duplicate, position the copy on the right and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste splatter 1, again resize 70%, position on the left, duplicate, move the copy over to the right and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste splatter 2, resize 50% and position on the right, duplicate, mirror the copy, move it over to the left and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste the close up tube, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste ribbon 1, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Pates foliage 1, resize 50% and rotate 70 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste foliage 2, resize 50% and rotate 80 degrees to the right, duplicate, mirror and flip the copy, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste flower 2, resize 60% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste flower 4, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste flower 5, resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste label 1, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste winged heart 1, resize 50% and rotate 10 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers and make any adjustments, then crop your tag, add your copyright information and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
