About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the beautiful tube “Elegant Alma” by
You can purchase the tube at

The gorgeous kit is “Love is in the Air” from
This is a really lovely kit and can be purchased at

I used mask 49 from

Font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 65, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 800 pixels and fill with white.  Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 2 into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.

Paste element 37, resize 90% and rotate 10 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste paper 6, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste frame 6, resize 50% and place in position.  Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand, expand the selection by 20, make a new layer below it and fill with colour #1b1109.  Paste the close up tube, resize it 85%, position in the frame, invert the selection and hit delete.  Deselect, apply the drop shadow to the frame and lower the opacity on the tube to around 50%.

Paste the close up tube again on the top, resize 28%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 38, resize 70% and rotate 20 degrees to the left, drag below the main tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 50, resize 55% and duplicate twice.  Rotate one copy 20 degrees to the right and position on the left.  Mirror one copy and position at the  bottom.  Mirror the last copy, rotate it 30 degrees to the left and position on the right.  Apply the drop shadow to each copy.

Paste element 47, resize 70% and rotate 10 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 43, resize 33%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 13, resize 33% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 11, resize 43%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 12, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 31, resize 45% and rotate 10 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 29 on the top, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 44, resize 33% and rotate 20 degrees to the left, drag below element 29, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 32 on the top, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 49, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers now and make any necessary adjustments, then crop your tag, add your copyright information and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
