Steampunk Bunny

In this tutorial I used the tube “Steampunk Chocolate Bunny” from
This totally gorgeous tube comes with several options and can be purchased at

I used the kit “Inspired by Time” from
This is a fabulous kit with so many elements I just didn’t know
which ones to use!!
You can purchase the kit at

I used mask 3 from set 8 and mask 1 from set 1 by

For the animation you will need steam animations
275 and 276 from Simone at

I used the windows font
Impact.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 700 by 800 pixels and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 6 into the selection, apply mask 1 and resize 95%.

Make another layer, paste paper 14 into the selection, deselect, apply mask 3 and resize 95%.

Paste element 19, resize 50%, duplicate, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 3i, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste frame 7, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 100a, resize 45% and rotate 10 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 59, resize 45%, duplicate, mirror one copy and rotate the other 90 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 48, resize 80%, flip and rotate 20 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 2, resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the tube, resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 82, resize 80%, drag down to just above the masks, duplicate, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 9, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 86 just behind the tube, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 94, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 60b, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 16, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 3, resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 72, resize 80% and rotate 90 degrees to the right, drag down below the bucket and position on the left, duplicate, flip the copy and position on the right.  Apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 108a, resize 70% and position on the left, duplicate,  flip the duplicate, drag it above the clock, position on the right and erase the part that is above the bucket.  Apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 12 making sure its directly below the tube,  resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 14 on the top, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 43, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 44, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers and make any adjustments then crop and add your copyright information and text.   Export on a transparent background if you are not doing the animation.

Animation:

Working from the bottom, close off all your layers below the bunny and “merge visible”.  Close of this merged layer, open the closed ones and again “merge visible”.  Copy this bottom merged layer and paste it in animation shop “As a new animation” and duplicate it until you have 19 copies/frames.

Open Simone’s animational and resize it 80% (Animation – Resize animation).  Select all the frames, copy them, select all the frames on your merged layer and paste the animation on the pipe join.  Select all of these new animation frames, copy them and paste them again “As a new animation” so you know have two copies of it and put the copy aside for now.

Open the second animation 276, select all the frames, copy them and paste them into your original set of frames positioning them on the cogs.  Activate the copy set of frames, select them all, copy them, go back to the frame set that has both animations on it, slide along until you get to the very last frame, click on it to activate it and paste the copy set “After selected frame”.

You should now have 38 frames, half with both animations and half with just the first animation.

Go back to Paint shop, copy the top merged layer,  paste it in animation shop and duplicate it until have 38 copies.  Select all the frames, copy them and paste them on the new large animation.

When you are done, run your animation through the Optimization Wizard and save it as a gif.
