About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the tube “Princess Anna” by
You can purchase the tube at

I used the fabulous “Floating on Air” freebie sampler from
You can get the kit from
Jessica’s blog.
Be sure to check out the gorgeous full size creative team kit inspired by
Chrissy Huddleston of
You will find the kit at

I used the Burning Love mask from the
 "Burning Love" freebie from
You will find it on the left under Freebies.

Font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 700 pixels and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 2 into the selection.  Paste the mask as a new layer, resize it 25% and centre it, float and defloat the mask, invert the selection and hit delete on the paper, deselect and delete the Raspberry Road mask.

Paste smudge and resize 70%.

Paste brush, resize 65% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste frame 4, resize 50%, rotate 10 degrees to the left and place in position.  Select the interior of each section of the frame, expand the selection by 5, paste paper 2 as a new layer below the frame,  resize it 45%, invert the selection and hit delete to remove the excess.  We will come back to this.

Paste the tube, resize 90%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste wings, resize 65% and rotate 10 degrees to the  right, drag below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste word art 2, resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste flower 1, resize 50%, rotate 90 degrees to the right and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the compass on the top, resize 15% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste ribbon 3, resize 60% and flip, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the candle, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste wild grass, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the staple, rotate 20 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers and make any necessary adjustments.

Paste the tube again between the frame and the paper, duplicate it and mirror the duplicate, position the two copies in the frame, select the interior of the two outer parts of the frame, expand the selection as before, invert it and hit delete on the tube copies, deselect.  Change the blend mode on the tubes to “Soft Light” and apply the drop shadow to the frame.

Paste bling 2 above the windows, resize 60% and place in position.  Change your white background layer to black while you are doing this so you can see all the blings.

When you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text, then export on a transparent background as a png.
