About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the gorgeous tube “Emerald” from layered pack 65 by
Barbara Jensen.
You can purchase the tube at

I used a fabulous new kit “I Love London” from
How lovely to see a London inspired kit!
You can also purchase this it

I used mask 230 from

Font is

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 600 and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 9 into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.

Paste element 22, resize 40% and rotate 10 degrees to the right.   Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand, expand the selection by 20, make a new layer below the element and fill with #292929.  Open the tube and choose your layer options, I did a little recolouring which Barbara allows, copy merged and paste it as a new image, mirror it and copy again and paste on your canvas, position in the frame, invert the selection and hit delete to remove the excess, deselect.  Apply the drop shadow to the frame, change the blend mode on the tube to “Hard Light” and lower the opacity to around 70, close off the white background layer and mask layer, merge visible, reopen the closed layers and place the merged layer into position.

Paste element 8, resize 40% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 30, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 10, resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 14, resize 50% and rotate 10 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 13, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Un mirror the tube and paste it as a new layer, resize 65%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 3, resize 75%, drag below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 4, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 7, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 9 on the top, resize 40% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 24, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 6, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 16b, resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers and make any adjustments.

Paste element 27, mirror, drag down to below the merged frame layer and position on the left, duplicate, rotate the duplicate 90 degrees to the right and position the right, apply the drop shadow to each.

When you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text, then export on a transparent background as a png.
