Fringe

In this tutorial I used the fab layered tube “Fringe” by
Barbara Jensen.
You can purchase the tube at

The kit is “Dark Delights” from
and can also be found at

You will need the mask
and also mask 29 from

Font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.

Open a new transparent  canvas 700 by 700 pixels and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 7 into the selection, deselect, apply the mask and resize 95%.

Paste element 27 and resize it 55%.  Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand, expand the selection by 10, make a new layer below it, open paper 9, mirror it then copy and paste it into the selection, deselect.  apply the drop shadow to the frame, merge it down onto the paper and place in position.

Paste element 34, resize 65%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the main tube, mirror it, resize 65%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 11, resize 40% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, drag below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 24, rotate 70 degrees to the right, resize 95%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the swirly piano keys, resize 80% and rotate 10 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 22, resize 55%, drag below the keys, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 28 on the top, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 29, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 2, resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 13, resize 25% and rotate 30 degrees in either direction, duplicate, mirror the duplicate, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Check your layers and make any necessary adjustments.

Open the close up tube, pick your layers, copy merged and paste as a new image.  Apply the 20/20 mask to the tube twice, then paste it on your canvas just above the mask, resize it 80% and place in position.  Take you eraser tool, set the size to 100 and opacity to 10 and rub it around the top of her head to blend it into the mask.

When you are all done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text, then export on a transparent background as a png.
