About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

This tutorial uses the layered tube “Timeless Beauty”
from the latest pack 68 from
Barbara Jensen.
I just love this naughty girl!
You can get the tube from

The kit is “Cherry Bomb” from
One of my favourite kits of Carita ‘s
it can also be purchased at

I used mask 0564

I used the font

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 700 by 700 pixels and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 6 into the selection, deselect, apply the mask and resize it 85%.

Paste element 7 and resize 55%, select the interior with your magic wand, expand the selection by 20, make a new layer below it, fill with black and deselect.

Paste your tube, duplicate it, resize one copy 65%, position as the main tube and apply the drop shadow.    Mirror the copy, drag it below the frame and position inside it, select the interior and expand the selection as before, invert it and hit delete on the tube to remove the excess.  Don’t worry if a bit shows where her legs are cut off at the bottom as this will be covered.   Paste the paper again, resize it 80% and again hit delete to remove the excess, deselect.  Change the blend mode on the paper layer to “Soft Light”, lower the opacity of the tube to around 40 and apply the drop shadow to the frame.

Paste element 7, it should be just below the main tube, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 27, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 26, resize 60% and rotate 20 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 16, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 2, resize 45% and duplicate, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 20 as bring to the top, resize 70%, place in position,  apply the drop shadow and change the blend mode to “Hard Light”.

Paste element 23, resize 80%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 28, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 9, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 19, resize 30% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 3, resize 30% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 1, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 15, resize 65%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers and make any adjustment, then crop your tag, add your copyright information and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
