About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the awesome layered tube “My New Specs”
from the latest pack 68 from
Barbara Jensen.
You can get the tube at

I used the kit “Deeply in Love” by
Love these colour scheme of this kit!
It can also be purchased at

I used mask 63 by Simone at

I used the font

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 650 and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 5 into the selection, deselect, apply the mask and resize 95%.

Paste element 10, resize 50% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, select the interior with your magic wand, expand the selection by 10, make a new layer below it and paste paper 8 into the selection, deselect, apply the drop shadow to the frame, merge it down onto the paper and move over to the right a little.

Paste the main tube, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 18, resize 70%, drag below the merged layer, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 1, resize 90% and rotate 50 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 16, resize 80% and rotate 40 degrees to the left, duplicate and mirror the duplicate, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 9, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 26, resize 70%, duplicate mirror the duplicate, position the original below the merged frame layer and the duplicate above it and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 3, it should be just below the tube, resize 50% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Pate element 11, resize 85% and rotate 70 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 4, resize 45% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers and make any necessary adjustments.

Paste your tube again, mirror it, resize 90%, drag down to just above the mask, place in position erasing any at the bottom and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 23, resize 80%, position at the top on the right, duplicate, mirror and flip the duplicate and position on the left at the bottom.

When you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text, then export on a transparent background as a png.
