Robot Wasp

In this tutorial I used the new bonus tube “Blue Topaz” by
Barbara Jensen.
This fabulous tube is completely free when you make
a tube purchase of $10 or more before the 23rd September from

The kit is “Robot Wasp” by
This kit is totally awesome!
You will find the kit also at

I used two masks, mask 15 from
and mask 111 from

Font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 700 by 600 pixels and fill with white.

Paste element 11 as a new layer, resize 40%, mirror and flip it and move it over to the right. Select the main part of the element with your magic wand and also the small part in the bottom left hand corner, expand the selection by 10 and make a new layer below the element, copy paper 5 and paste it into the selection, deselect and apply the drop shadow to the frame.  Duplicate the frame and mirror it, duplicate the paper, drag it up so it's below the copy frame.  Merge the duplicate frame onto the copy of the paper and move it over to the left.  You can also merge the original copy of the frame onto the first copy of the paper.

Paste frame 19 as a new layer and resize it 65%.  Select the interior of the element, expand the selection as before, make a new layer below it and paste the same paper into the selection, deselect and apply the drop shadow to the frame.

Paste element 2 as a new layer, resize 50% and mirror, drag below frame 19, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 7 as a new layer, resize 50%, erase any that shows outside the frame and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 24 as a new layer and bring to the top, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 4 as a new layer, resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste your tube as a new layer, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  I resized my tube 70%.

Paste element 22 as a new layer, resize 25%, drag below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 6 as a new layer, resize 50% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 5 as a new layer and bring to the top, resize 50% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 30 as a new layer, resize 40%, drag below element 5, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 13 as a new layer, resize 50% and rotate 20 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 17 as a new layer on the top, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 20 as a new layer, resize 30% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 20 as a new layer, resize 30%, drag below the pipe, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 18 as a new layer, resize 20%, position on element 20, duplicate, mirror the duplicate, resize it another 90%, bring to the top and place in position, apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 31 as a new layer, resize 30% and rotate 20 degrees to the left, drag below the word art, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 3 as a new layer on the top, resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste elements 12, 14 and 15 as new layers, resize each 50%, mirror 15, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layer positions and make any necessary adjustments.

Click on your bottom white background layer to activate it, make a new layer, select all and paste paper 3 into the selection, deselect, duplicate the paper and close off the top copy.  On the original copy apply Vaybs’ mask and resize it 90%.  Open the duplicate paper and apply Dee’s mask,  resize 90% and move up and to the left, duplicate, move the duplicate over so just a little shows on the right and erase any parts that overlap.

When you are all done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text, then export on a transparent background as a png.
