Christmas Elf

In this tutorial I used a beautiful tube by
Alicia Mujica.
The exclusive tube is available at

The kit was inspired by this tube 1A by
and can also be purchased at
This is a really fabulous kit with some gorgeous elements,
I loved it!

You will also need a mask, I used mask 230 by

I used the font

Please check out my “About my tutorials” page if this is the first tutorial of mine you have followed, thank you.

I used a drop shadow of vertical and horizontal 2, opacity 85, blur 5.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 600 pixels and fill with white.

Open Paper_2 and copy, make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.  Resize 95%.

Open Frame_3 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 65% and move up and to the right.  Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand and expand the selection by 20, make a new layer below it and fill with black, deselect.  We will come back to this.

Open Element_14 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 75%, move up and to the left and apply the drop shadow.

Open Element_16 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 65%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Layer1 of the tube and paste as a new layer.  Resize 65%, place roughly in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Element 23 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 65%, drag below the lamp post, place in position on the right, duplicate,  mirror the duplicate and position on the left.  Apply the drop shadow to both layers.

Open Element_21 and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 55%, drag above the lamp post, place in position, erase the bottom of the stalk and apply the drop shadow.

Open element_18b and paste as a new layer.   Resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Element_17 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 50%, position it so the tube is sitting on it and apply the drop shadow.

Open element_17b and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize also 505, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Element_4b and paste as a new layer.   Resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Element_5 and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 65%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Element_19, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.   Resize 80%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Element_24 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 50% and rotate 90 degrees to the right, drag below element 19, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 22b and paste as a new layer.  Resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 22 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Wordart_1, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.   Resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Element_9 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments.

Go back to Element_4b, that’s the sack of toys, and erase the bit of the bunny’s ears that show as you now have him positioned separately.  I also faded out the snow around the bottom of the Christmas tree by dabbing around it with my eraser brush set on 50 and with opacity on 10.

Now paste Layer 2 of the tube on your canvas, position it between the frame and the black layer below it and erase any that shows on the outside of the frame.  Lower the opacity of the tube to around 50 and apply the drop shadow to the frame.

Open Spray_3 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 60% and place in position below the main tube.

When you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text, then export your tag on a transparent background as a png.
