The kit is called “Punkmas” and is by
This is fabulous twist on a Christmas kit and I
absolutely love it!
The kit is available at

I used two masks in my tag, mask 133 by
and mask 84 by

I used the font
Impact
which is a Window’s font.
Instructions on the font are included.

Please check my “About my tutorials” page before starting if you have not followed one of my tutorials before, thank you.

Unless noted, I used a drop shadow of vertical and horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 600 pixels and fill with white.

Open pp1 and copy.  Make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper in the selection, apply Vayb’s mask and resize 95%.

Open pp5 and copy,  make another layer on your canvas, the selection should still be there, paste this paper into it and apply Weescotass’ mask, deselect and change the blend mode to “Hard Light”.

Open element 4 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70%, move up and to the left and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 7 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 60% and move up and to the right.  Select the interior with your magic wand, expand the selection by 10 and make a new layer below it, open and copy pp2 and paste into the selection, deselect.  Apply the drop shadow to the frame and merge it down onto the paper.

Open element 23 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 60%.  Select the interior of both parts of the book with your magic wand, expand the selection as before and make a new layer below it.  Open and copy pp5 and paste it into the selection, deselect.  Rotate both the frame and the paper 10 degrees to the left, apply the drop shadow to the frame, merge it down on the paper and place in position.

Open the tube and paste it as a new layer, resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 6 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 55%, drag below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 8 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 45%, drag below element 6, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 9 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 45% and position on the left, duplicate, mirror the duplicate and position on the right.  Apply the drop shadow to both layers.

Open element 24 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70% and rotate 90 degrees to the right, position on the right, duplicate, mirror the duplicate and position on the left.  Apply the drop shadow to both layers.

Open element 28 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 45% and position on the right, duplicate, mirror the duplicate and position on the left.  Apply the drop shadow to both layers.

Now is a good time to check your layers and see if any adjustments need to be made.

Open element 25 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 60% and rotate 80 degrees to the right.  Rotating and resizing like this make this element very blurry so instead of doing the unsharp mask, go to Adjust – Sharpness – Sharpen More.  Drag this element down so it is just above the book and place it in position.  Duplicate, mirror the duplicate, position it on the right higher up and erase any that shows on the left of the tube.  Apply the drop shadow to both layers changing the vertical and horizontal to 2 and blur to 5.

Open element 1, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.   Resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow (remember to change the settings back).

Open element 33 and paste as a new layer.   Mirror, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 18 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 30% and rotate 10 degrees to the left,  place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 17 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 30% and duplicate, mirror the duplicate, place both ribbons into position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Open element 27 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 30%, drag below the tube, place in position erasing some of the loop so it looks like it is hooked over element 7 and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 2, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.   Resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 31 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open element 13 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Again, check your layers and make any necessary adjustments.  When you are done, crop your tag and add your copyright information.

Open the font and type your name using any bold colour for the background and no foreground.  While the font is still a vector adjust the size using the nodes around it and then convert it to a raster layer.  Select the font, float it and defloat it.  Open pp5 again and paste it as a new layer, resize it 45% and position it over the text, invert the selection and hit delete to remove the excess.  You can now delete your original text layer.  Apply an inner bevel to the font as my screenshot below and then apply the drop shadow to it.

When you are done, export your tag on a transparent background as a png.
