Yours Forever

In this tutorial I used the beautiful art of
Elizabeth Austin.
You need a license to use Elizabeth’s art, available at

The kit was inspired by this tube 15-1 and is by
You can also purchase the kit at

I used two masks in my tag, mask 79 by
and mask 02 by
Vix.

Font of choice.

If this is the first time you have followed one of my tutorials, please check out my “About my tutorials” page before starting, thank you.

Unless otherwise stated, I used a drop shadow of vertical and horizontal 5, opacity 80, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 600 BY 500 pixels and fill with white.  Open Vaybs’ mask, rotate it 90 degrees to the right and then minimize it. Open pp7 and copy, make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.  Resize 110%.

Open el9 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 65% and move it up a little but keeping it centred horizontally (click on it with your move tool and then move it with the arrow keys).  Select the interior with your magic wand and expand the selection by 10, make a new layer below it and paste pp7 again into the selection, deselect.  Apply a drop shadow to the frame of vertical and horizontal 0, opacity 100, blur 15 and then merge it down onto the paper layer.

Open the tube and paste as a new layer, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow (change the settings to vertical and horizontal 5, opacity 80, blur 10).  I resized my tube 70%.

Open el6 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 60% and rotate 10 degrees to the right, drag down below the merged layer and place in position on the right.  Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand and expand the selection as before, make a new layer below it and fill with black.  Paste the tube again as a new layer, resize it and position it in the frame, invert the selection and hit delete to remove any excess, deselect.  This time I resized the tube 65%.   Lower the opacity of the rube to around 60 and merge it down onto the black layer.  Go to Effects – Texture Effects – Blinds and apply with Width set to 3, Opacity to 10, colour black and “Light from Top/Left” checked.  Re-apply the Blinds effect with the same settings plus “Horizontal” checked.  Apply the drop shadow to the frame and merge it down onto the tube/black layer.  Duplicate, mirror the duplicate and move it over to the left.

Click your mask layer to activate it, make a  new layer and select all, open and copy pp4 and paste it into the selection, deselect and apply Vix’ mask.   Use your Pick tool to stretch the mask out so you can see it around the edges of your tag.   You should have something like this now.

Open el15 and paste as a new layer above the two frame layers.   Resize 40%, position on the right hand frame and apply the drop shadow.

Open el14 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  Merge down onto el15 then duplicate the merged layer, mirror the duplicate and move over to the left.

Open el4 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el18, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.   Resize 60%, position on the right and apply the drop shadow.  Duplicate, mirror and position on the left.

Open el22 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 50% and duplicate, place both flowers into position and apply the drop shadow to each.  Don’t worry about them being on top of the tube, we will fix that layer.

Open el13 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el20 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el19 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el2 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el23 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 70%, mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el21 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 35% and rotate 30 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers so far and make any necessary adjustments, particularly your main tube.

Duplicate your main tube and drag the duplicate up to just below the ribbon.  Erase most of the tube leaving just her arm so it is above the elements.

Open el8 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 70% and rotate 90 degrees to the right.   Position on the left, duplicate, move the duplicate over to the right and erase the parts that overlap hiding the join behind the ribbon.

When you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text, then export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background as a png.
