About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the awesome art of
Ted Hammond.
You need a license to use Ted’s art, available at

The kit was inspired by this tube 21-2 and is by
It can also be purchased at

You will also need a mask, I used mask 84 by

I used the font

Please check out my “About my tutorials” page before starting, thank you.

I used a drop shadow of vertical and horizontal 5, opacity 80, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 575 pixels and fill with white.

Open pp1 and copy, make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.

Open 6a and paste as a new layer.   Resize 55%, select the interior with your magic wand and expand the selection by 20.  Open and copy pp2, make a new layer below the frame and paste the paper into the selection, deselect.  Apply the drop shadow to the frame, merge it down onto the paper and place in position.

Open 14 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 85% and rotate 10 degrees to the right, drag down below the merged layer and place in position.  Duplicate, rotate the duplicate another 20 degrees to the right and position.  Apply the drop shadow to both layers.

Open 25, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.   Resize 80%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open your tube and paste as a new layer, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  I resized my tube 80%.

Open 22 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, drag down below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open 1 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open 12 and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open 23 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 80%, place in position and apply the drop shadow,

Open 18 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open 2 and paste as a  new layer.  Resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  When I had all my elements in their final positions, I did some erasing to put this element between the girl's hand and the books on the tube.

Open 16 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 25% and rotate 110 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open 17 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 55%, drag down below the pile of books/apple, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open 15 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments.  When you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text, then export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background as a png.
