About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the tube “Cheeky” from
the new pack 45 by
Barbara Jensen.
As usual this is an awesome pack and can be purchased from

The kit is called “Greenery” by
This mouth-watering kit is also available at

You will also need a mask, I used mask 187 by

I used the font

Please check out my “About my tutorials” page before starting, thank you.

I used a drop shadow of vertical and horizontal 2, opacity 80, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 575 pixels and fill with white.

Open pp1 and copy, make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask, flip the mask and resize it 110%.  Apply Paint Shop Pro Blinds effect with Width set to 2, Opacity to 10, Color Black and Light from Left/Top checked.  Apply the effect again with Horizontal also checked.

Open 19 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 50%, rotate 10 degrees to the right and move over to the right.  Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand and expand the selection by 20, make a new layer below it, copy pp1 again and paste it into the selection.

Open your tube, mirror it if necessary, copy and paste as a new layer and, resizing as needed, position in the frame, invert the selection and hit delete to remove the excess, deselect.  If you are using one of Barbara’s layered tube, duplicate it and close the original, pick your layers and copy merged.  I resized my tube 75%.  Apply the drop shadow to the tube, duplicate it and close off the duplicate for now.  Change the blend mode on the original copy to “Luminance Legacy” and merge it down on to the paper.  Apply the blind texture twice like you did on the mask.  Open up the closed copy, drag it above the merged layer and change the blend mode to “Soft Light.  Apply the drop shadow to the frame, close off your white background and mask layers and merge visible.  Open the closed layers, duplicate the merged layer and mirror it.

Open your tube again, resize it as before, place it in position and apply the drop shadow. Again I resized the tube 75%.

Open 6 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 90% and rotate 10 degrees to the left, drag down below both merged layers and position on the left, duplicate, mirror the duplicate and position on the right.  Apply the drop shadow to both layers.

Open 13 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 80%, position on the right, duplicate, mirror and position on the left.  Apply the drop shadow to both layers.

Open 3 and paste as a new layer.  Drag up above the merged layers, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open 12 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 80%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open 7 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 80%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open 15 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70%, mirror and rotate 10 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open 20 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open 22 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open 8 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 65% and position on the left, duplicate, mirror and position on the right.  Apply the drop shadow to both layers.

Open 6 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open 14 and paste as a new layer.  Mirror,  resize 50%, drag down below the basket, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open 16 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 50% and rotate 80 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open 28 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 80%, rote 90 degrees to the right and flip, place in position, erase any that shows on the right of the tube and apply the drop shadow.

Open 29, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.  Mirror, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open 17 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open 18 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 70%, rotate 90 degrees to the left, flip, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open 21 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open 14 again and paste as a new layer.  Resize 55%. Place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open 30 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open 26 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 33% and rotate 30 degrees in either direction, duplicate and mirror, place both butterflies in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments.  When you are done, crop your tag and add your copyright information and text, then export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background as a png.
