About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I again used the fabulous art of

You need a license to use Kurama’s art, available at

I used a kit called “Destructive Heart” by
This is an awesome kit and can be purchased from

I used two masks in my tag, masks 111 and 151 by

I used the font

Please check out my “About my tutorials” page before starting, thank you.

I used a drop shadow of vertical and horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 650 pixels and fill wit white.

Open Paper7-GI_DestructiveHeart and copy.  Make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, apply mask 111 and resize it 85%, duplicate then mirror and flip the duplicate. Make another layer and again paste the paper into the selection, apply mask 151 and resize it 85%.

Open Clock-GI_DestructiveHeart and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70% and apply the drop shadow.

Open Frame2-GI_DestructiveHeart and paste as a new layer.  Resize 65% and apply the drop shadow.

Open WordArt1-GI_DestructiveHeart and paste as a new layer.   Resize 83%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open BloodSplatter-GI_Destructive Heart and paste as a new layer.  Resize 75%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open your tube and paste as a new layer, resize as need, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  I resized my tube 70%.

Open Leaves-GI_DestructiveHeart and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 70% and rotate 50 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Flower1-GI_DestructiveHeart and paste as a new layer.   Resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Flower2-GI_DestructiveHeart and paste as a new layer.   Resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Frame6-GI_DestructiveHeart and paste as a new layer.  Resize 60% and rotate 15 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open CandleSticks-GI_DestructiveHeart and paste as a new layer.  Resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Rose-GI_DestructiveHeart and paste as a new layer.   Resize 25%, drag down below the candlesticks, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open PaganSymbol-GI_DestructiveHeart, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.   Resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Bow1-GI_DestructiveHeart and paste as a new layer.   Resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Key-GI_Destructive heart and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 25% and rotate 30 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open HeartBound-GI_DestructiveHeart and paste as a new layer.   Resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Card-GI_DestructiveHeart and paste as a new layer.   Resize 22%, drag below the heart, duplicate and rotate the duplicate 15 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Open RazorwSplatter-GI_DestructiveHeart and paste as a new layer.   Mirror and flip, resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Ribbon5-GI_Destructive Heart and paste as a new layer.   Resize 65%, rotate 10 degrees to the left and position on the left, duplicate, move the duplicate over a bit to the right and erase the parts that overlap hiding the join behind the heart.  Apply the drop shadow to both parts.

Open Crow-GI_DestructiveHeart, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.  Resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Pill-GI_DestructiveHeart and paste as a new layer.  Resize 20% and duplicate, rotate the duplicate 30 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Open Needle-GI_DestructiveHeart and paste as a new layer.   Resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Lipstick=GI_DestructiveHeart and paste as a new layer.  Resize 30% and rotate 30 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments.

Open Fog-GI_DestructiveHeart and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70% and drag down until it’s just above the tube, place in position and erase any that shows at the bottom of the tag (make a temporary black base layer so you can be sure you get all of it).  I duplicated this, erased most of it and just put a little on my tube’s arm to cover the cut off edge there.

When you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text, then export as a png.
