About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

I used a gorgeous new kit called “Sweetness” by
The kit is also available at

You will also need a mask, I used mask 111 by

I used the beautiful font

If this is the first time you have followed one of my tutorials, please check out my “About my tutorials” page before starting, thank you.

I used a drop shadow throughout of vertical and horizontal 2, opacity 80, blur 5.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 600 pixels and fill with white.

Open pp5 and copy, make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.  Resize 90%.

Open 16 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 80% and position on the edge of the mask on the right hand side.

Open 3 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 60% and place in position.  Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand and expand the selection by 15.  Open pp3 and copy, make a new layer below the frame and paste the paper into the selection, deselect.  Apply the drop shadow to the frame and merge it down onto the paper.

Open your tube and paste as a new layer, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  If you are using one of Barbara’s layered tubes, open it and close the original, pick your layers and merge visible.  I resized my tube 75%.

Open 9 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 55% and rotate 70 degrees to the right, drag down below the merged layer and place in position on the left.  Duplicate, rotate the duplicate 40 degrees to the right and place in position.  Apply the drop shadow to both layers.

Open 15 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 75%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open 26, paste as a new layer and duplicate. Mirror the original layer, rotate it 15 degrees to the right and position on the left.    Flip and mirror the copy and position on the right.  Apply the drop shadow to both layers.

Open 2, paste as a new layer and drag up above the merged layer.   Resize 60% and duplicate, place both elements into position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Open 21 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 75%, mirror, drag down below 2 and position on the left.  Paste the element on your canvas again, this time resize 70% and position on the right above 6.  Apply the drop shadow to both layers.

Open 14 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 40% and rotate 15 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open 25, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.   Resize 70%. Place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open 6 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 33%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open 24 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 65% and rotate 15 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open 12 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open 11 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments and when you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text, then export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background as a png.
