About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used the beautiful art of Rachel Anderson.
You need a license to use Rachel’s art,
available at

I used the kit and add-on “Peony” by
Up until the 10pm pst on 31st April, if you purchase
the kit, you get the add on free.
The kit is also available at

I used MuRa Filter Meister “Copies” filter.
This is a free filter but it’s not essential if you don’t want to install it.

You will also need a mask, I used
Weescotslass’ mask 85.

Font is Vampire Street by Jellyka.

Please check out my “About my Tutorials” page before starting the tutorial, thank you.

Unless otherwise stated, I used a drop shadow of vertical and horizontal 2, opacity 60, blur 5.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 650 pixels and flood fill with white.

Open pp3 and copy, make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.  Resize 90%.

Open el1 from the main kit and paste as a new layer but don't move it.  Apply MuRa’s “Copies” filter with the settings as in my screenshot below, resize it 75% and apply the drop shadow.  If you don't have the filter you can duplicate the element and rotate the copies to form a circle.

Open el3 from the main kit, paste as a new layer and resize 60%.

Open pp2 and copy.  Select the interior of el3 with your magic wand and expand the selection by 20, make a new layer below it and paste the paper into the selection.  Do not deselect.

Open your tube and paste as a new layer, position inside the element resizing if needed then invert the selection and hit delete to remove the excess tube.  You can now deselect.  Lower the opacity of the tube to around 50 and apply the drop shadow to the element.  I left my tube the original size.

Open your tube again and paste as a new layer, resize if needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  Again, I left the tube its original size.

Open el4 from the add-on and paste as a new layer.   Resize 80%, drag down below the tube and position behind her.  Duplicate, resize the duplicate 90%,  rotate it 90 degrees to the left and position along the bottom.  Apply the drop shadow to both layers.

Open el9 from the main kit and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 50% and rotate 20 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el7 from the main kit and paste as a new layer.   Resize 65% and rotate 70 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow but changing the vertical and horizontal to 1 and blur to 3.

Open el1 from the main kit and paste as a new layer.  Resize 50% and position on the bottom, left of the tube.  Duplicate and move over to the right. Apply the drop shadow to both layers (remember to change it back to the original settings).

Open el2 from the main kit and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 55%, position in the centre of the two copies of el1 and apply the drop shadow.

Open el5 from the add-on and paste as a new layer.   Resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el12 from the main kit and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments.

Open el14 from the main kit and paste as a new layer.   Resize 80% and position directly behind the tube.

When you are done, crop your tag and add your copyright information and text, then export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background as a png.
