Love so Soft

In this tutorial I used the art of Barbara Jensen.
You need a license to use Barbara’s art,
available at her store here.

I used a beautiful kit called “Love So Soft” by
I loved the beautiful colours of this kit,
thank you Carita!
The kit is also available at Barbara’s store.

You will need the 20/20 mask, here.

You will also need a background mask,
I used Weescotslass’ mask 133, here.

You will also need Pentacom Color Dot filter, here
(if you have Filters Unlimited you will need to import it into that).

Font is Ladybug, here.

Remember to sharpen up your elements after resizing/rotating as otherwise they will be a little blurry; check out my Tips and Tricks page for more info.

I used a soft drop shadow throughout of vertical and horizontal 2, opacity 50, blur 7.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 600 and flood fill with white.

Open one of the papers and copy, I used pp10.  Make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply your background mask. Resize 95% and apply Pentacom Color Dot filter to the mask on the default settings.

Open your tube or the close up if you have one, duplicate and close the original.  Apply the 20/20 mask twice to your tube, then paste it as a new layer on your canvas and resize as needed.  If you are using the same tube as me, I resized 55%.  Place in position on the left.  Open your erasor tool and set the size to 50 and opacity to 10, dab around any harsh lines to blend them out, I blended out the harsh lines at the top of her head.

Open el16 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 80%, drag down below the masked tube and place in position on the left.  Duplicate,  mirror and flip the duplicate and position on the right.

Open your main tube, paste as a new layer and bring to the top, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  If you are using one of Barbara’s tubes, open it, duplicate and close the original, make your layer options and copy merged.  I resized my tube 90%.

Open el29 and paste as a new layer.  Drag down below the main tube, resize 110%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el22 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 90%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el23 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el2b and paste as a new layer.  Resize 80%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el30 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 65% and rotate 20 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el2 and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 75%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el8 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 75%, place in position, erase the stalk and apply the drop shadow.

Open el24 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el12 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 35% and rotate 30 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el7b and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el6 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el21 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 25% and rotate 30 degrees to the right.  Duplicate and mirror the duplicate.  Place both elements into position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments.  when you are done, crop your tag and add your copyright information and text, then export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background as a png.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, if you have any questions, please email me here.  As always, I would love to see your result and include it in the gallery!
