Bitch Attidude

In this tutorial I used the art of Barbara Jensen.
You need a licence to use Barbara’s art, available here.

The kit I used is called “Jinx” and is by
This is the second tutorial I have written with this kit making
very different looking tags as its packed full of elements!
You can get the kit here.

You will also need a mask, I used Insatiable Dreams mask 565, here.

Font is Dare 2 Differ, here.

Don’t forget to sharpen up those elements after resizing/rotating as it makes them a little blurry; check out my Tips and Tricks page for more info.

I used a drop shadow throughout of vertical and horizontal 2, opacity 80, blur 5.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 550 pixels and flood fill with white.

Open SkyScraps-JINX-PP3 and copy.  Make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.  Resize 80%.

Open SkyScraps-JINX-e84 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70%.

Open SkyScraps-JINX-e97 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 55%, move up and to the left a bit and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-JINX-e16 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 50% and duplicate, place both elements into position and apply the drop shadow to each.  It doesn’t matter if they overlap.

Open SkyScraps-JINX-e95 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 75% and place in position.

Open your tube and paste as a new layer, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  If you are using one of Barbara’s layered tubes, open it, duplicate and close the original, make your layer options and copy merged.

Open SkyScraps-JINX-e25 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 50% and rotate 20 degrees to the left, drag down below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-JINX-e80 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 80%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-JINX-e98 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 75%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-JINX-e61 and paste as a new layer.  Flip, resize 35%, position in the top, right hand corner and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-JINX-e53 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-JINX-e75 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-JINX-e76 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-JINX-e11 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-JINX-e39 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-JINX-e107 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 30% and drag down so its just above e61 (the disco ball) and place in position.

Open SkyScraps-JINX-PP8 and copy.  Select the interior of e107 with your magic wand and expand the selection by 4, make a new layer below it and paste the paper into the selection.  Do not deselect.

Open your tube again and paste as a new layer, resize as needed, position inside the element, invert the selection and hit delete to remove the excess.  Deselect.  Apply the drop shadow to the tube and the frame and change the blend mode on the tube to “Luminance (Legacy)”.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments.  When you are done, crop your tag and add your copyright information and text, then export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background as a png.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.  If you have any questions, please email me here.  As always, I would love to see your result and include it in the gallery!
