Bewitched

In this tutorial I used another tube from Barbara Jensen’s
awesome new pack 32.
You need a license to use this tube, available here.

The kit I used is called “Chloe” and is by
This kit is absolutely amazing, I loved working with it,
thank you Marie!
You can get it here.

You will also need a mask, I used Monti’s circle mask, here.

Font is Bright Young Things, here.

Remember to sharpen up those elements after resizing/rotating, this gives a much better result on the final tag; check out my Tips and Tricks page for more info.

Open a new transparent canvas 600 by 600 pixels and flood fill with white.

Make a new layer on your canvas, flood fill with colour #00c2a8 and apply the mask.  Resize 80%.

Open SkyScraps-CHLOE-E60 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 65%.  Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand and expand the selection by 10, make a new layer below the frame and flood fill with the colour #232324, deselect. We will come back to this.

Open your tube and paste as a new layer, resize as needed, place in position and apply a drop shadow of vertical and horizontal 5, opacity 80, blur 10.  If you are using the same tube as me, open the tube, duplicate and close the original, select your layers, copy merged, paste on your canvas and resize 65%.

Open SkyScraps-CHLOE-E51 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 72% and drag down so its just above the mask layer.

Open SkyScraps-CHLOE-E88 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70%, place in position on the left hand side.  Duplicate, move the duplicate so just a little shows on the right and then erase the rest of this copy.  Apply a drop shadow of vertical and horizontal 2, opacity 80, blur 5 to both copies.

Open SkyScraps-CHLOE-E30 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70%, place in position and apply a drop shadow of vertical and horizontal 5, opacity 50, blur 15.

Open SkyScraps-CHLOE-E10 and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 75%, place in position, erase the roots at the bottom and apply a drop shadow of vertical and horizontal 2, opacity 80, blur 5.

Open SkyScraps-CHLOE-E48 and paste as a new layer.  Drag up so its just below the tube, mirror, resize 70%, place in position and apply a drop shadow vertical and horizontal 5, opacity 80, blur 10.

Open SkyScraps-CHLOE-E62 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70%, place in position and apply the last drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-CHLOE-E35 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 50%, place in position and apply a drop shadow horizontal and vertical 2, opacity 80, blur 5.

Open SkyScraps-CHLOE-E71 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow vertical and horizontal 5, opacity 80, blur 10.

Open SkyScraps-CHLOE-E11 and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 35% and rotate 10 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the last drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-CHLOE-E14, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.  Resize 40% and place in position.

Open SkyScraps-CHLOE-E12 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 20% and place in position.

Check the positions of your layers so far and make any necessary adjustments.

Open your tube again and paste as a new layer, drag it down so its between the frame and the layer you filled with grey, resize if needed (I didn’t resize mine)  and place in position.  Again select the interior of the frame with your magic wand and expand the selection as before, activate the tube and hit delete to remove the excess, do not deselect.  Lower the opacity of the tube to around 60.

Open SkyScraps-CHLOE-E55 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 50%,  place in position and hit delete to remove the excess.  Deselect and apply the last drop shadow to the frame.

Open SkyScraps-CHLOE-E17 and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 50% and place in position.

Open SkyScraps-CHLOE-E2 and paste as a new layer.  Drag up so its just below your main tube.   Resize 45% and place in position.

Open SkyScraps-CHLOE-E92 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 60% and place in position.

Again, check the positions of your layers and when you are happy with everything, crop your tag and add your copyright information and text, then export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background as a png.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial; I just loved working with this awesome kit and tube.  If you have any problems, you can email me here and don’t forget to send me your result, I love to see them and include them in the gallery!
