Fangbanger

In this tutorial I used the art of Barbara Jensen.
You need a license to use Barbara’s art,
they are available here.
The tube I used was a bonus tube.

I used an awesome freebie kit called “Bad Things” from
Pimp’d Designz.
You can get it from her blog here.
Thank you so much Cora, this is an awesome kit!

You will also need a mask, I used HorsePlay’s Pasture mask 11, here.

I used the font Ammonite, here.

Remember to sharpen up your elements after resizing/rotating as otherwise they will be a little blurry.  If you are not familiar with this, check out my Tips and Tricks page for more info.

I used a drop shadow of vertical and horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 5.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 575 pixels and flood fill with white.

Open pd12-pp-01 and copy.  Make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.  Resize 95%.

Open pd12-frame-03 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 85% and rotate 10 degrees to the right.  Move up and to the right a little.

Open pd12-pp-02 and copy.  Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand and expand the selection by 5, make a new layer below the frame and paste the paper into the selection.  Do not deselect.

Open your tube and mirror it, copy and paste as a new layer, resize as needed and position in the right hand part of the frame, invert the selection and hit delete to remove the excess tube, deselect.  Apply the drop shadow to the frame and lower the opacity of the tube to around 55.

Open pd12-frame-01 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 60% and move over to the left a little.

Open and copy pd12-pp-2 again, select the interior of this frame with your magic wand and expand the selection as before, make a new layer below it and paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the drop shadow to the frame.

Open your tube again, undo the mirror, copy it and paste it as a new layer, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open pd12-vamp-teeth and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 55%, drag down below the main tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open pd12-mesh, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.  Resize 65%, place in position along the bottom and apply the drop shadow.

Open pd12-stitching and paste as a new layer.  Resize 65%, place in position along the bottom of the mesh and apply the drop shadow.

Open pd12-flower-02 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open pd12-flower-01 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open pd12-ribbon-01 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open pd12-wa-02 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 75%, apply an inner bevel with the settings as my screenshot below, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open pd12-flower-01 again and paste as a new layer.  Resize 55%, drag down below vamp-teeth, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments.

Open pd12-spill-02 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 90%, drag down until its just above the mask layer and place in position on the right.  Duplicate, flip the duplicate and move over to the left.  Apply the drop shadow to both layers.

Crop your tag being careful not to crop into the mask, then add your copyright information and text.  I did my text in capitals and applied the same inner bevel as I did for the word art and of course the drop shadow.  When you are done, export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background as a png.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, if you have any questions, please email me here.  As always, I would love to see your result and include it in the gallery!
