About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I used a tube called “Selena” and a kit called “Nightlife”
both by GeminiCreationz.
You need a license to use this tube,
both the tube and kit can be purchased at

You will also need a mask, I used Gem’s mask 16, here.

Font is AC3 Hearts 1, here.

Remember to sharpen up the elements after resizing/rotating as otherwise they will be blurry; check out my Tips and Tricks page for more info.

I used a drop shadow throughout of vertical and horizontal 2, opacity 85, blur 5.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 550 pixels and flood fill with white.

Make a new layer on your canvas, flood fill with colour #fbd519 and apply the mask. Resize 95%.

Open gemini_nightlife_frame1 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 80%.

Open gemini_nightlife_p8 and copy.  Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand, expand the selection by 10, make a new layer below the frame and paste the paper into the selection, deselect.  Apply the drop shadow to the frame and merge it down onto the paper layer.

Open gemini_nightlife_halftone and paste as a new layer.  Resize 80%, drag down below the merged layer, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open gemini_nightlife_path, paste as a new layer and bring to the top. Mirror, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open gemini_nightlife_sportscar and paste as a new layer.  Resize 85%, place in position on the path and apply the drop shadow.

Open the tube and paste as a new layer.  Resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers so far and erase the part of the path and the car that show on the right hand side of the tube.

Open gemini_nightlife_fandango and paste as a new layer.  Resize 80%, drag down so its below the path, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open gemini_nightlife_flowerspray and paste as a new layer.  Place in position, erase any that show on the right hand side of the tube and apply the drop shadow.

Open gemini_nightlife_textpath and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open gemini_nightlife_discoball and paste as a new layer.  Flip, resize 75%, drag down below the textpath, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  If any of the chain shows below the tube, erase it.

Open gemini_nightlife_record and paste as a new layer.  Resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open gemini_nightlife_lipgloss and paste as a new layer.  Resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open gemini_nightlife_nailpolish2 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open gemini_nightlife_stripedheart and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 50% and rotate 15 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open gemini_nightlife_beadscatter and paste as a new layer.  Resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open gemini_nightlife_emokitty and paste as a new layer.  Drag up above the car, resize 25%, position on the car bonnet and apply the drop shadow.

Open gemini_nightlife_electricguitar and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open gemini_nightlife_pdaphone and paste as a new layer.  Resize 30% and rotate 10 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open gemini_nightlife_microphone, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.  Resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  Erase some of the lead so it looks like its going around the tube’s leg.

Open gemini_nightlife_glasses and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments.  When you are happy, crop your tag and add your copyright information and text, then export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background as a png.

In this tutorial I used the gorgeous art of Barbara Jensen.
You need a license to use Barbara’s art,
available from her store, here.

The kit I used is called “Paint it Blue” by
and is also available at Barbara’s store.

You will also need a mask, I used Weescotslass’ mask 141, here.

Font is Ammonite, here.

Your elements will need to be sharpened after resizing/rotating as otherwise they will be a little blurry, for more info, check out my Tips and Tricks page.

I used a drop shadow throughout of vertical and horizontal 2, opacity 70, blur 5.

Open a new transparent canvas 600 by 600 pixels and flood fill with white.

Open one of the papers and copy, I used pp9.  Make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.

Open el15 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 90%.

Open your tube, duplicate and close the original, select your layers, copy merged, paste as a new layer on your canvas, mirror, resize 85%, apply the drop shadow and position inside el15.  Activate the element and click anywhere on your canvas outside of it with your magic wand, activate the tube and hit delete to remove the excess, deselect.  Lower the opacity of the tube to around 45 and apply the drop shadow to the element.   Close of your white background and mask layers, merge visible, re-open the closed layers and place the merged layer into position.

Open el13 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 75%, drag down below the merged layer, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the tube again as a new layer and bring to the top, this time resize it 65%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el26 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 95%, drag down below the tube and position behind her, erase the bottom part of the post as its too tall.  Apply the drop shadow but check the box “Shadow on new layer” then erase the part of the shadow that is around the glow of the lamps.

Open el11 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 75%, place in position over the lamp and apply the drop shadow.

Open el7 and paste as a new layer.  Rotate 90 degrees to the left, mirror, resize 75%, place in position over the leaves and apply the drop shadow.

Open el16 and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el30 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el12 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 65% and rotate 75 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el9 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 50%, duplicate and close off the duplicate for now.  Rotate the original 70 degrees to the left, drag it down so its below el11 (the leaves), place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open the duplicate of el9, rotate 80 degrees to the right, position on the right hand side of the tube and apply the drop shadow.

Open el11 again, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.  Resize 75% and rotate 90 degrees to the right, place in position along the bottom of the tube and apply the drop shadow.

Open el5 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 80%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el20 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 65% and rotate 110 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el7 again and paste as a new layer.  Flip, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el6 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 65%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el23 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 45% and rotate 15 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el4 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 35%, place I position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el19 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 40% and rotate 15 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments, when you are happy, crop your tag and add your copyright information and text, then export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background as a png.

In this tutorial I have again used the beautiful tube
Jessica Blood by
for which you need a license
and the Kit “Blood Thirsty” by
Both the tube and the kit are available at

This is the second tutorial I have written with this
tube and kit and the tags are very different as
there are so many elements in the kit to choose from and
there are still some left!
The only element I have used in both tags is the fog.

You will also need a mask, I used Insatiable Dreams mask 565, here.

The font is Charming, here.

My usual reminder to you to sharpen up your elements are resizing/rotating to take away the blurriness, you will find more info on my Tips and Tricks page.

I used a drop shadow throughout of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85 and blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 600 by 600 pixels and flood fill with white.

Open one of the papers and copy, I used 7, make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.  Resize 85%.

Open frame 2 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 50% and apply the drop shadow.

Open the tube and paste as a new layer, resize 60, erase the bottom section that is below the bottom of the frame and apply the drop shadow.

Open Cross 1 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70%, drag down below the tube and position on the top, left hand corner of the frame, apply the drop shadow.

Open Rose 2 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 50% and rotate 20 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Corset 2 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Web 1 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 50%, drape over the corset and apply the drop shadow.

Open Fog and paste as a new layer.  Resize 80% and place in position.

Open Candle, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.  Resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Boot 1 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Blood Bag and paste as a new layer.  Resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Clouds 1 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 55%, drag down below the boot and blood bag and place in position along the bottom of the frame, erase any that show on the outside of either the boot or the bag and apply the drop shadow.

Open Grass 1 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Heart 5, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.  Resize 35% and rotate 10 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Spider 3 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 30% and rotate 40 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Cocktail 1 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Bottle 3 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments.

Open Blood Splatter 1 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70%, drag right down until its just below the rose and position in the top, left hand corner.  Duplicate, mirror and flip the duplicate and move it down so just a few splashes show in the bottom, right hand corner.  Apply the drop shadow to both layers.

Open Hand Print 1 and paste as a new layer. Resize 55%, drag down so its just above the mask and position below the top, right hand corner of the frame, apply the drop shadow.

Open Moon 1 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 50%, drag up so its just below the corset and position on the top, right hand corner of the frame.

Open Light Ray, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.  Position so its shining out from the moon.

Have one last check on the positions of your layers, then crop your tag taking care not to crop into the moon (its larger than you think, add a dark layer at the bottom so you can see where to crop and then delete that layer after).  Add your copyright information and text, then export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background as a png.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, if you have any questions, you can email me here and don’t forget to send me your result!

In this tutorial I used the art of SkyScraps,
for which you need a license, available at

The kit is called “Blood Thirsty” and is by
The kit is also available at

Both the tube and kit are just awesome!
Again, there are many more items in the kit than I have used
so you can get some very different looking tags from it.

You will also need a mask, I used Weescotslass’ mask 133, here.

Font is Charming, here.

Resizing/rotating elements makes them a little blurry so they need to be sharpened up.  If you are not familiar with this, check out my Tips and Tricks page for more info.

I used a heavy drop shadow throughout of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 600 by 600 pixels and flood fill with white.

Open one of the papers and copy, I used 9.  Make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.

Open frame 1 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 45%.

Open paper 6 and copy.  Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand and expand the selection by 20, make a new layer below the frame and paste the paper into the selection.  Do not deselect.

Open the close up of the tube and paste it as a new layer, resize 70% and position in the frame, invert the selection and hit delete to remove the excess.  Change the blend mode on the tube to “Hard Light” and lower the opacity to around 35, apply the drop shadow to the frame.  Close off your white background layer and the mask layer and merge visible, open the closed layers and move the merged layer up and to the right.

Open Grave 2 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 65% and rotate 10 degrees to the left, place in position on the left and apply the drop shadow.

Open Metal 2 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 35% and rotate 10 degrees to the left, place in position on the Grave and apply the drop shadow.

Open your main tube, I used the one without the wings, copy and paste as a new layer.  Resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Cemetery and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 65%, drag down below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Harp and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Candles 2 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 45% and place in position to the right of the tube, apply the drop shadow.

Open Fog and paste as a new layer.  Resize 80% and position behind the tube.

Open Sparkles 2 and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 50% and position also behind the tube.

Open Ribbon and paste as a new layer.  Resize 35% and position to the left of the tube.  Duplicate this layer and move over so a little shows on the right of the tube, if any shows on the left of her erase it.  Apply the drop shadow to both layers.

Open Coffin 1, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.  Resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Web 2 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 40%, drape over the coffin and apply the drop shadow.

Open Bottle 2 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Cocktail 2 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Candles 1 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Spider 2 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 30% and mirror, position on the web that’s on the coffin and apply the drop shadow.

Open Raven and paste as a new layer. Resize 30%, drag down below the coffin, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments.

Open Blood Splatter 4 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 85%, drag right down until is just above the mask layer and place in position so just a little is showing on the right hand side of your tag.  Duplicate, mirror and flip the duplicate and position on the left hand side.  Apply the drop shadow to each layer.

When you are done, crop your tag and add your copyright information and text. I dragged the text out a bit wider before converting it to a raster layer and then applied a light inner bevel and of course the drop shadow. When you have done your text, drag the spider up above it.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, if you have any questions, please email me here and don’t forget to send me your result, I love to see them and include them in the gallery!

In this tutorial I used the art of Amy Matthews.
You need a license to use Amy’s art,
they are available at Creative Design Outlet.

The kit I used was inspired by this tube #16-2 and is by
You can kit also at Creative Design Outlet.
I love this tube and the kit,
thank you so much Schnegge!

You will also need a mask, I used HorsePlay’s Pasture mask 10, here.

Font is Upper East Side, here.

It is important to sharpen your elements after resizing/rotating as otherwise they will be a little blurry.   If you are not familiar with this, check out my Tips and Tricks page for more info.

I used a drop shadow throughout of vertical and horizontal 2, opacity 75, blur 5.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 600 pixels and flood fill with white.

Open P01_IBmatthews16-2_Schnegge and copy.  Make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.  Resize 90%.

Open Frame01_IBmatthews16-2_Schnegge and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 80% and move over to the right.  We come back to the frame later.

Open your tube and paste as a new layer, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Leaves_IBmatthews16-2_Schnegge and paste as a new layer.  Resize 85%, drag down below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Corset_IBmatthews16-2_Schnegge and paste as a new layer.  Resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Flower02_IBmattews16-2_Schnegge and paste as a new layer.  Resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Heart02_IBmatthews16-2_Schnegge and paste as a new layer.  Resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Cupcake_IBmattews16-2_Schnegge and paste as a new layer.  Resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Ribbon_IBmatthrews16-2_Schnegge, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.  Resize 75%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Cherries_IBmatthews16-2_Schnegge and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Flower03_IBmatthews16-2_Schnegge and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Bow02_IBmatthews16-2_Schnegge and paste as a new layer.  Resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers so far and make any necessary adjustments.

Close off your tube and the corset so you can see the frame.  Click on the frame to activate it and use your freehold selection tool to draw a selection around it like my screenshot below.

Open P02_IBmatthews16-2_Schnegge and copy.  Make a new layer below the frame and paste the paper into the selection.  Do not deselect but you can open the closed layers.

Open your tube again or the close up if you have one and mirror, copy and paste as a new layer, resize as needed and position inside the frame, invert the selection and hit delete to remove the excess tube, deselect.  Apply the drop shadow to the frame and the tube and change the blend mode on the tube to Luminance.

Open Splat_IBmatthews16-2_Schnegge, paste as a new layer and drag down until its just above the mask layer.  Use your Pick tool (Deform tool in earlier versions) to squash it in a bit at the sides as it’s a bit wide but we need the length (don’t forget to sharpen, this will make it pretty blurry, I unsharped mask twice with the strength on 30).  If you are not familiar with this tool, check out my In the Dark tut which I wrote in July as it has some screenshots using this tool. Apply the drop shadow.

Open Gems_IBmatthews16-2_Schnegge and paste as a new layer.  Resize 50% (again, I unsharped mask twice on these), duplicate a couple of times and arrange around your tag, you can erase some if they are in the wrong place.  Apply the drop shadow to each layer.

Again, check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments, when you are happy, crop your tag and add your copyright information and text, then export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background as a png.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, if you have any questions, please email me here and don’t forget to send me your result as I love to see them and include them in the gallery!

Open sb_pmt_batter-up_flag and paste as a new layer.  Drag up so its just below the main tube,  resize 65%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open sb_pmt_batter-up_pop and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open sb_pmt_batter-up_ticket and paste as a new layer.  Resize 45% and rotate 10 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open sb_pmt_batter-up_hat and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open sb_pmt_batter-up_ball and paste as a new layer.  Resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open sb_pmt_batter-up_ribbon 1 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open sb_pmt_batter-up_hot dog and paste as a new layer.  Resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments.  When you are happy, crop your tag and add your copyright information and text.  For the text, the swashes are numbers 0 to 9.  I used 9 and did it on a separate layer as I needed to use a smaller font size, I then merged the two together and rotated it 5 degrees to the left.

When you are done,  export your tag as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background as a png.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.  If you have any questions, please email me here.  As always, I would love to see your result and include it in the gallery!

In this tutorial I used a fantastic kit “All-Nighter”
 and tube “Vanessa” both by
You can purchase the kit and tube separately
or as a bundle, here.
This is a very large kit and I although I have used
a lot of elements, there are still many more I have not used
so you can get several different looking tags from it.
Love this kit Vicki, thank you!

You will also need a mask, I used Gem’s mask 209, here.

You will need Animation Shop for the animation.
No outside filters or plugins are used.

I used the font 2Peas Mr Giggles,
which is an inexpensive ptu font.

Remember to sharpen up your elements after resizing/rotating as otherwise they will be a little blurry.  Check out my Tips and Tricks page for more info.

I used a drop shadow throughout of vertical and horizontal 2, opacity 75, blur 5.

Open a new transparent canvas 600 by 600 pixels and flood fill with white.

Open gemini_all-nighter_p3 and copy.  Make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.  Resize 85%, duplicate and then mirror and flip the duplicate.

Open gemini_all-nighter_frame3 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70% and apply the drop shadow.

Open your tube and paste as a new layer, resize as needed and place in position.  If you are using Vanessa, resize her 35%.

Open gemini_all-nighter_blleaves and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 70%, drag down below the tube, place in position so the leaves are showing on the right of her and apply the drop shadow.

Open gemini_all-nighter_HeartnRose and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70%, place in position on the leaves and apply the drop shadow.

Open gemini_all-night_confettitemps-hearts and paste as a new layer.  Resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open gemini_all-nighter_rosesbundle and paste as a new layer.  Resize 55%, position on the top, left hand corner of the frame and apply the drop shadow.

Open gemini_all-nighter_lips and paste as a new layer.  Resize 65%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open gemini_all-nighter_feather and paste as a new layer.  Resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open gemini_all-nighter_ribbon and paste as a new layer.  Resize 50%, rotate 90 degrees to the left and then flip, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  Your tag should now look something like my screenshot below.

Open gemini_all-nighter_handcuffs and paste as a new layer.  Resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open gemini_all-nighter_velvetshoe and paste as a new layer.  Resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open gemini_all-nighter_perfume and paste as a new layer.  Resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open gemini_all-nighter_brose1 and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  If you have a piece of the stalk showing below the bottom of the tube, erase it.

Open gemini_all-nighter_whip and paste as a new layer. Resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open sexs toy and paste as a new layer.  Resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open gemini_all-nighter_pill and paste as a new layer.  Resize 50%, drag down below the sexs toy and duplicate. Rotate the duplicate 140 degrees to the left.  Place both pills in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments. Your tag should now look something like my screenshot below.

Open gemini_all-nighter_cityskyline and paste as a new layer.  Resize 90% and drag down until its just above the frame.  Place in position so that tallest building shows in the top, right hand corner of the frame and erase the corner that shows on the left hand side of the tag and the part that shows on the right hand side of the HeartnRose and black leaves elements.  Apply the drop shadow.

Open gemini_all-nighter_beadsscatter and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70%, drag down below the frame and position so a few show on the top, right hand corner.  Duplicate and move the duplicate so a few show on the bottom, left hand corner.  I erased a couple that were a bit too far out.  Apply the drop shadow to each layer.

Again, check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments.  When you are happy, crop your tag and add your copyright information and text.  If you are not continuing with the animation, export your tag as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background as a png.

Animation.

Open a new transparent canvas 300 by 300 pixels.  Copy the resized sexs toy element from your tag and paste it as a new layer.  Right click and “Copy Merged”, paste it in Animation Shop as a new animation.

Go to Effects – Insert Image Effect and in the Effect drop down menu, find “Shaky Cam”.  Change the settings to those in my screenshot below, then click on “Customize” and set the shakiness to 10.  Click on ok.

Back in Paint Shop, close out the sexs toy on your tag, then right click and “Copy Merged” again, paste in Animation Shop as a new animation.  Your sexs toy animation should have 6 frames, duplicate your tag so it has the same number of frames.

Activate the sexs toy animation, go to Edit – Select All – Edit – Copy.  Click on the first of your tag frames to activate it, again go to Edit – Select All, then right click and “Paste into Selected Frame”.  Position the sexs toy on your tag.  Click on the first frame and change the Frame Properties to 50 (Animation – Frame Properties).

Run your tag through the Optimization Wizard and then save as a gif (on the second page of the wizard, chick on the "Customize" box and make sure "Optimized Median Cut" is selected as this gives a better result).

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, I certainly had fun writing it!!  If you have any questions, you can email me here and please send me your result, I would love to see it and include it in the gallery!

In this tutorial I used the beautiful art of Amberly Berendson.
You need a license to use Amberly’s art,
available here.
The tube I have used was a recent bonus tube
called "Capricorn", it's stunning!

I used a freebie kit called “Seashell” by
Schnegge’s Scraps.
This is a lovely kit Schnegge gave to celebrate her birthday.
Thank you so much Schnegge, its gorgeous!
You can get it here.

You will also need a mask, I used Gem’s mask 181, here.

Font is Jellyka, le Grand Saut textural.
This is a free font, you can get it here.

As always my reminder to you to sharpen up your elements after resizing/rotating as otherwise they will be a little blurry.  Check out my Tips and Tricks page for more info.

I used a drop shadow throughout of vertical and horizontal 2, opacity 75, blur 5.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 600 pixels and flood fill with white.

Open p02_SeashellFTU_Schnegge and copy.  Make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.  Resize 95%.

Open f01_SeashellFTU_Schnegge and paste as a new layer.  Resize 80% and apply the drop shadow. Move over slightly to the right.

Open your tube and paste as a new layer, resize as needed (I resized mine 80%), place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open e12_SeashellFTU_Schnegge and paste as a new layer.  Drag down below the tube, Place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open e-06_SeashellFTU_Schnegge and paste as a new layer.  Resize 85% and rotate 20 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open e13_SeashellFTU_Schnegge and paste as a new layer.  I re-coloured this element to match the gorgeous purple of my tube’s eyes (for help with re-colouring, check out my Tips and Tricks page).  Resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open e01_SeashellFTU_Schnegge and paste as a new layer.  Again I re-coloured this element purple.  Resize 90%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open e03_SeashellFTU_Schnegge and paste as a new layer.  Resize 80%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open e26_SeashellFTU_Schnegge and paste as a new layer.  Resize 80%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open e24_SeashellFTU_Schnegge and paste as a new layer.  Mirror and flip, resize 95%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open e27_SeashellFTU_Schnegge and paste as a new layer.  Resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open e09_SeashellFTU_Schnegge, paste as a new layer and bring to the top. Resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open e32_SeashellFTU_Schnegge and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments.

Open e17_SeashellFTU_Schnegge and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70%, drag right down until its just above the mask layer, place in position on the left hand side and apply the drop shadow.

Open e10_SeashellFTU_Schnegge and paste as a new layer.  Resize 65%, place in position so that just a tiny bit is showing at the bottom of the tube and apply the drop shadow.

Once again, check the positions of your layers and when you are happy, crop your tag and add your copyright information.

Pick two colours from your tube for your font and set the foreground to 1 and the size to 120.  Type out your name and pull/push on the vector nodes until you have it a nice size to fit in that space on the tag.  Covert to a raster layer and apply an inner bevel as in my screenshot below and then the drop shadow.

When you are done with your text, export your tag as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background as a png.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, if you have any questions, please email me here and don’t forget to send me your result so I can include it in the gallery!

Pirate Life for Me

In this tutorial I used the art of Alicia Mujica.
You need a license to use Alicia’s art,
you can purchase one for this tube here.

I used a fantastic kit called “Pirate Life 4 Me” by
This is really lovely kit and I so enjoyed working with it,
you can get it here.

You will also need a mask, I used mask 11 by Brutal Designs, here.

Font is Feebooter, here.

**********

My usual reminder to you to sharpen up your elements after resizing to take away the blurriness it causes.  If you are not familiar with this, check out my Tips and Tricks page for more info.

I used a drop shadow throughout of vertical and horizontal 2, opacity 80, blur 5.

Open a new transparent canvas 600 by 600 pixels and flood fill with white.

Open SkyScraps_PL4M-pp4 and copy.  Make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.  Resize 85%.

Open SkyScraps-PL4M-E55 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 45% and apply the drop shadow.  Move up and to the left a little. We will come back to this later.

Open SkyScraps-PL4M-E20 and paste as a new layer.  Drag down below E55 and place in position.

Open SkyScraps-PL4M-E23 and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps_PL4M-E14, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.  Resize 70% and apply the drop shadow.

Open your tube and paste as a new layer, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow (if you are using the same tube as me, I resized 75%).

Open SkyScraps-PL4M-E56 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 50%.

Check the positions of your layers so far.

Open SkyScraps-PL4M-E1 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 50%, drag down below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-PL4M-E11 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-PL4M-E15 and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-PL4M-E2 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-PL4M-E19, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.  Mirror, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-PL4M-E50 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Again check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments.

Open your tube again or the close up if you have one and paste as a new layer.  Drag down so its below E55, resize and place in position inside the element, apply the drop shadow and erase any that is showing outside the element.

Open SkyScraps-PL4M-E54, paste as a new layer and drag up above E55.  Resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Finally, click on E56 (the wave), activate your erasor, set the size to 100 and the opacity to 10 and run it along the bottom of the wave a few times to blend the bottom edge into the mask.

When you are happy with everything, crop your tag and add your copyright information and text, then export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background as a png.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, if you have an questions, please email me here.  I would, as always, love to see your result and include it in the gallery!
