Something Sweet

In this tutorial I am again using one of Barbara Jensen’s awesome new tubes!
You need a license to use Barbara’s art.
A license for this tube is available here.

The kit I have used is called “Something Sweet” by
This is a really beautiful kit and is also available exclusively

You will also need a mask, I used Weescotslass’ mask 82, here.

I used a font called Parisian, you can get it here.

Make sure to sharpen up your elements after resizing/rotating to take away the blurriness it causes.  For more info, check out my Tips and Tricks page.

I used a drop shadow throughout of vertical and horizontal 2, opacity 70, blur 5.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 550 pixels and flood fill with white.

Open one of the papers and copy, I used paper 6.  Make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.

Open el35 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70% and apply the drop shadow.

Open el18 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 60% and apply the drop shadow.

Open el25 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 75% and apply the drop shadow.

Open el31 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 80% and rotate 10 degrees to the left.  Place in position on the left hand side and apply the drop shadow.

Open el11 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 80%, place in position to the left and apply the drop shadow.

Open el13 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 80% and apply the drop shadow.

Open el10 and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 80%, again move over to the left and apply the drop shadow.

Open el33 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 55% and rotate 15 degrees to the right.  Place in position on the left again and apply the drop shadow.

Open el9 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 80%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el32 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 75%, place in position on the right and apply the drop shadow.

Open el4 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 55%, place in position along the bottom and apply the drop shadow.

Open your tube and choose your layers, copy merged and paste as a new layer, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments.  When you are happy, crop your tag and add your copyright information and text, then export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background as a png.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial; if you have any questions, please email me here.  As always, I would love to see your result and include it in the gallery!
