Lil' Devil

In this tutorial I used the art of Pinuptoons.
You need a license to use Pinuptoons’ art,
I purchased mine from CILM but they are now available here.

I used an awesome kit called “InspiredPUT103” by
The kit was inspired by Pinuptoons Package 103.
You can get the kit here.
Thank you Schnegge!

You will also need a mask, I used Insatiable Dreams mask 565, here.

Font used is 1 Snappy DNA, a free font, here.

You will need to sharpen up those elements after resizing/rotating them, check out my Tips and Tricks page for more info.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 550 pixels and flood fill with white.

Open Paper09_InspPUT103 and copy.  Make a new layer on your canvas and select all, paste the paper into the selection, de-select and apply the mask. Resize 80%.

Open Frame03_InspPUT103 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 75% and move over to the right.

Open Paper10_InspPUT103 and copy.  Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand and expand the selection by 5, make a new layer below the frame layer and paste the paper into the selection.  De-select.  Apply a drop shadow to the frame vertical and horizontal 2, opacity 70, blur 5.

Open Frame02_InspPUT103 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 82%.

Open Paper08_InspPUT103 and copy.  Again select the interior of the frame with your magic wand and expand by 5, make a new layer below the frame layer and paste the paper into the selection but this time do not de-select.

Open your tube, mirror it if necessary and paste it as a new layer.  Resize as needed and position nicely in the frame, invert the selection and hit delete to remove the excess tube.  Apply the last drop shadow to both the tube and the frame layers and lower the opacity of the tube to around 50.  Close off all your layers apart from frame02, your tube and the paper layer below it and merge visible, re-open the closed layers and move the merged layer into position.

Open StarCircle_InspPUT103 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 65%, place in position and apply the last drop shadow.

Undo the mirror on your tube, copy it and paste it again as a new layer. Resize as needed, place in position and apply the last drop shadow.

Open Flower06_InspPUT103 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 60%, drag down below the tube, place in position and apply the last drop shadow.

Open Cupcake02_InspPUT103 and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 65%, place in position and apply the last drop shadow.

Open Button02_InspPUT103 and paste as a new layer.  Place in position and apply the last drop shadow.

Open Flower03_InspPUT103 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 65%, place in position and apply the last drop shadow.

Open Kitty_InspPUT103, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.  Mirror, resize 45%, place in position and apply the last drop shadow.

Open Pepper_InspPUT103 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 35%, rotate 80 degrees to the right and duplicate.  Resize the duplicate 80% and rotate it 30 degrees to the right.  Place both peppers into position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Open Drink02_InspPUT103 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open GlitterStars_Insp103 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 90%, drag down so its just above your mask layer and place in position at the top.  Duplicate, rotate the duplicate 90 degrees to the right and place in on the right hand side.  Apply a drop shadow to each layer vertical and horizontal 1, opacity 70, blur 3.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments.

Open your tube again and mirror it, copy and paste it as a new layer. Position it below frame03 so it just shows in the top corner and resize as needed. Select the interior of the frame again and expand the selection as before, invert, activate the tube layer and hit delete to remove the excess tube.   Again lower the opacity of the tube to around 50.

Crop your tag and resize if required, add your copyright information and text and export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background as a png.
