My Everything

In this tutorial I am using the art of Zindy Nielsen.
You require a license to use Zindy’s art,
you can get one here.

I am using a beautiful free to use kit which has just been
re-released called “You are my Life Now” by
Pimp’d Designz.
You can get the kit here.

I used two masks on my tag, Monti’s Circle mask here
and Vix’ mask 176 here
(masks are under "goodies" at the top).

Font used is Albermarle, which is a free font, here.

Don’t forget to sharpen your elements after resizing and rotating, essential for a good looking tag (adjust – sharpness – unsharp mask – radius and clipping 5, strength 30).

Drop shadow used throughout is vertical and horizongal 5, opacity 70, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 600 by 550 pixels and flood fill with white.

Open pp01 and copy, make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, de-select and apply Monti’s circle mask, lower the opacity to 60 and resize 95%.

Open pp04 and copy, make a new layer on your canvas and paste the paper as before but this time use Vix’ mask and then apply the drop shadow.

Open metal-heart and paste as a new layer, resize 50%, move over slightly to the top, right and apply the drop shadow.

Open white stars and paste as a new layer, resize 55% and apply the drop shadow.

Open cb-heart and paste as a new layer, rotate 10 degrees to the left, resize 75 percent, move over slightly to the left and apply the drop shadow.

Open wrapped-circle-frame, paste as a new layer and resize 60%. Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand, make sure to select the small part below the ribbon also, expand the selection by 10.

Open pp02 and copy, make a new layer below the frame layer and paste the paper into the selection. Do not de-select.

Open your tube and paste as a new layer, resize as required and position in the frame, invert the selection and delete the excess, de-select. Apply the shadow to both the tube and frame layers. Position your tube so she is coming out of the frame.

Open black-button-flower and paste as a new layer. Resize 50%, drag down below the frame, paper and tube layers, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open rose and paste as a new layer. Resize 75%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open leaves and paste as a new layer. Rotate 90 degrees to the right, mirror, resize 55% and place in position, erase any of the stalk that is showing at the bottom.  Duplicate this layer, mirror and position so just a little of the leaves are showing on the left hand side of the frame. Apply the drop shadow to both layers.

Open chrome-swirl and paste as a new layer. Resize 65%, place in position and  apply the drop shadow.

Open printed-flower-02 and paste as a new layer. Resize also 65%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open heart-key, paste as a new layer and bring to the top. Resize 50%, rotate 30 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positioning of all your elements,  crop your tag and resize as required, add your copyright information and text and export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background as a png.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, if you have any questions, please email me here.

The scrap kit I used is Creationz by Jo’s awesome new kit
(the kit is presently on sale with a 40% discount!)
This is a fabulous kit just bursting with goodies!
I loved it, thank you Jo!

You will also need a mask.
I used Insatiable Dreams mask 598, here.

I used the font Pharmacy, which is a free font, here.

Don’t forget to sharpen your elements after resizing and rotating, essential for a good looking tag (adjust – sharpness – unsharp mask – radius and clipping 5, strength 30).

I used a drop shadow vertical and horizontal 2, opacity 70, blur 5 on all my elements.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 550 pixels and flood fill with white.

Open CBJ_Dark vs Light BlkGlitter and paste as a new layer. Resize 65%, move over a bit to the right hand side of your canvas and apply the drop shadow.

Open CBJ_Dark vs Light WhtGlitter and paste as a new layer. Resize this also 65%, move over to the left hand side and apply the drop shadow.

Open CBJ_Dark vs Light Fr2 and paste as a new layer. Resize 80% and apply the drop shadow.

Open CBJ_Dark vs Light Clock and paste as  new layer. Resize 40%, place in position on the right hand side and apply the drop shadow.

Open CBJ_Dark vs Light PinKey and paste as a new layer. Resize 80%, place in position on the clock, erase part of the pin so it looks like it has pierced the clock and apply the drop shadow.

Open CBJ_Dark vs Light Floral and paste as a new layer. I wanted to keep my elements mono colored so I re-colored it. Resize this 80%, move it over to the left and apply the drop shadow. You may need to erase some of the stalk when you have your other elements and tubes in place.

Open CBJ_Dark vs Light Flowers and paste as a new layer. Mirror, resize 65%, place in position a bit to the left and apply the drop shadow.

Open CBJ_Dark vs Light Ivy Frame and paste as a new layer. Resize 50%, rotate 90 degrees to the left and apply the drop shadow.

Open CBJ_Dark vs Light ButFly2 and paste as a new layer, again I re-coloured this element. Resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open your tube and paste as a new layer. Resize as required, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open CBJ_Dark vs Light DoodleEdge2 and paste as a new layer. Resize 80%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open CBJ_Dark vs LightIvy and paste as a new layer. Rotate 110 degrees to the left, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open CBJ_Dark vs LightFlowerChm and paste as a new layer. Mirror, resize 80%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open one of the papers, I used CBJ_Dark vs LightPaper15 and copy. Activate your bottom white background layer, make a new layer, select all and paste the paper into the selection, apply the mask.

Apply your copyright information and text. Crop your tag and resize if required. Export as a jpeg or as a png on a transparent background.
